You will have a few moments with all attendees including the FIDI Board, the FIDI Academy Dean and FIDI Office staff, so that you can get to know a few faces and help you start your networking. Venture with us into the
Arabian desert where you will be transported to our campsite via a short dune
ride in a 4x4. There you will be greeted by traditional hosts and hostesses who
will guide you to your tables. Take some time to decorate yourself with henna
or try a sheesha, all while listening to the sounds of the bedouin oud players.
Then, enjoy dinner under the stars, a live band and belly dancing. And finally,
wrap up the night up with a spot of dancing in the desert!
Coaches will leave from the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel as of 16:30pm.

FIDI Sightseeing Tour 1 - Sights & Sounds City Tour
Dubai's rich heritage and culture started at the Dubai Creek, the 'old town'. No trip is complete without a visit to the historical side of Dubai. We will start with some shopping time at the famous gold and spice souks, so you can haggle for a bargain and soak up the hustle and bustle of the city souks.
The group will then board private abras (traditional water
taxis) to cross the Dubai creek from the Deira side to the Bur Dubai side –
home to the Al Fahidi district, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Dubai.
The creek crossing only takes 10
minutes and it’s the best way to really experience the creek and see the dhows
close up, transporting goods to and from neighboring countries such as Iran,
India & Pakistan. Once we arrive, guests will get a chance to walk through
the colorful and vibrant textile souk before reaching the Dubai Museum.
The Dubai Museum is inside the Al-Fahidi Fort, built in 1800 and considered to be one of the oldest buildings in Dubai, an oasis of calm in the bustling Old Dubai area.

FIDI Sightseeing Tour 2 - Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mosque
The Mosque was initiated by the late resident of the UAE, HH Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who is fondly thought of as the father of the UAE. The design has been inspired by both the Mughal and the Moorish Mosque Architecture in Pakistan and Morocco.
There are four minarets on the four corners of the courtyard. The courtyard, with its floral design, measures about 17,000 m2 considered to be the largest example of marble mosaic in the world. The Carpet in the main prayer hall has been designed by an Iranian artist, measuring 5627 m2, weighing 35 tons using wool from New Zealand and Iran. The Chandeliers that are made in Germany incorporate millions of Swarovski Crystals.
Reflective pools surround the
mosque, amplifying its beauty. The striking white and gold colours shining in
the sun are transformed at night by a unique lightning system which reflects
the phases of the moon.
