CUGH 2016 GLOBAL HEALTH VIDEO COMPETITION IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE PULITZER CENTER
CUGH's 3rd Annual video competition will showcase important global health issues and innovations.
Winners will be highlighted at our 7th Annual Global Health Conference April 9-11 in San Francisco.
Submission deadline February 7, 2016 EXTENDED TO FEBRUARY 21, 2016.
SUBMISSION CATEGORIES:
- Global Health Advocacy - Outlines a compelling global health challenge.
- Innovations in Global Health - Showcases a high impact innovation in global health.
JUDGING CRITERIA:
All videos must be under five (5) minutes in length. Submitted videos must be uploaded to either YouTube or Vimeo and submissions must include a short description (250 words maximum) about the highlighted issue or innovation.
Global Health Advocacy:
- Importance of the issue as a global health challenge;
- Impact of the presentation;
- Degree to which the video reveals solutions that can be implemented;
- Organization and clarity of the presentation.
Innovations in Global Health:
- Importance of the innovation to address a global health challenge;
- Impact of the presentation;
- Degree to which the video reveals solutions that can be implemented;
- Organization and clarity of the presentation.
PRIZES:
There will be a winner and two honorable mentions in each submission category. All six videos from the winners and honorable mentions will be featured at the conference, on the CUGH website, and included in the Bulletin (CUGH's email newsletter).
The top submission in each category will receive one (1) free registration to the conference.
HOW TO SUBMIT:
Submission deadline February 7, 2016 EXTENDED TO FEBRUARY 21, 2016. Limit one (1) submission per person.
By submitting your video to the competition you are giving CUGH permission to share it through the CUGH website and social networking platforms. CUGH membership is NOT required to participate; all are welcome to make a submission.
Submissions must be emailed to videocompetition@cugh.org.
Include in your email:
- Your name and contact information.
- The names of all authors/contributors to the video.
- The title of the video and a short (250 word maximum) description.
- Which category you are submitting to (Global Health Advocacy or Innovations in Global Health).
- A link to your uploaded video; videos must be uploaded to either Vimeo or YouTube. The Vimeo or YouTube video description must mention the 2016 CUGH video competition.
