Great Grantmaking is a professional development programme that will equip you with the essential skills, knowledge and tools to become an effective grantmaker. This contemporary grants training programme has a special focus on growing your impact and being on the front foot.

This course is designed for anyone involved in grantmaking be they grant advisors, CEOs, funder managers or trustees. The sessions will feature expert speaker Dr Genevieve Timmons, Adjunct Professor at Swinburne University, Melbourne and author of The Grantmakers’ Toolkit and Savvy Giving.

We will be launching a series of seven short video clips over a period of five weeks. There will also be a Q&A zoom meeting where participants will have the opportunity to ask Dr Timmons questions on the course content.

This professional development course will give you the tools to:

- Build high trust funding relationships
- Effectively assess funding proposals with knowledge of the New Zealand generosity ecosystem
- Understand the legislative structures, processes and dynamics of the community and voluntary sector
- Assess proposals, scrutinise the financials and identify opportunities for high impact
- And much more.

Great Grantmaking will feature Genevieve Timmons.
Genevieve is an international philanthropic consultant with a wealth of knowledge and experience in both Australia and New Zealand.
