Fairmont Chateau Whistler Evacuation Procedures

The Fairmont Chateau Whistler has a 3 tonal bell (International Standard) that will ring though out the hotel (In rooms for accessibility challenged guests strobe lights will also flash) signaling an evacuation. The bells will be accompanied by announcements letting all guests know that the hotel is under evacuation.

Our Emergency Response team will be at all exits directing guests to the muster location where further information and directions will be provided. Our ERT team will find accessibility challenged guests in refuse areas and stay with them until more help arrives.

All emergency exits will be lit. Directions to the exits are on the back of every guest room door and illuminated exit signs are visible at all times. The hotel has an emergency generator that will take approximately 30seconds to repower the building.

The safety and security of guests is our number one priority.
