A Message from the Symposium Chairs and Planning Committee

We invite you to join us for the reimagined SCPMG Hypertension Virtual Symposium. Earn CME from the comfort of your office or home! Join us virtually and online wherever you are!

To express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all those working tirelessly to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, SCPMG will be waiving registrations fees for all physicians, APPs, RNs, PAs and Healthcare Providers in KP and in the Community.

The abbreviated virtual symposium will address the most current developments amid the COVID pandemic and strategies in managing hypertension cases with relevant topics in an engaging format.  The virtual format has been designed to personalize your learning experience with interactive activities and will focus on:

  • How is the Covid Pandemic impacting diagnosis and treatment of hypertension?
  • Why does there continue to be a Black American disparity gap?
  • Appropriate use of out-of-office reading for diagnosis and management of HTN
  • What are the current guidelines in treating elderly hypertensives?
  • What is chronotherapy and how it is applied in general practice?

This year’s guest faculty includes:

  • Keith Ferdinand, MD, FACC, FAHA, FASPC, FNLA, Gerald S. Berenson Endowed Chair in Preventative Cardiology, Professor of Medicine at Tulane University School of Medicine
