Welcome Conference First-Timers

If you are a new attendee, this session is for you! Representatives from the AFBF YF&R committee will welcome you warmly and guide you in making the most of your conference experience. Get networking tips, learn how to navigate the conference app and get suggestions to help make the most of your time in Louisville. The session will take place Friday, February 25 from 6:00-6:45 p.m. in NuLu room at the Omni.   

 

Welcome Reception with Table Hosts

Join your fellow members at the Welcome Reception to network with attendees, hear last minute announcements and have some fun. The first 400 members will receive a free drink coupon for a bottle of water, can of soda or a cocktail (if over 21). Make sure to visit the table hosts to receive a raffle ticket for your chance to win some great prizes. The reception will take place Friday, February 25 from 7:00-9:30 p.m. in the Olmstead Ballroom.

 

YF&R Fitness Fun Run*

Let’s get the heart pumping with a 5K Fun Run with fellow conference attendees. All are welcome to join as the group runs alongside the Ohio River. Please meet the group a few minutes before 7:00 a.m. Satruday, February 26, so we can head out at the top of the hour. The group will meet at the front door of the Omni.

Beverage Break and Community Service

Enjoy a beverage and network with new and/or seasoned friends during the beverage break on Saturday and Sunday from 10:15 – 11:00 a.m. outside of the general sessional hall. If you are looking to help give back to the Louisville community, grab your coffee/tea/water and join other YF&R members in the Cherokee Triangle room to participate in some community service.   

 

Power Hours

Power Hours are a new conference feature that will get you out of your seat, talking, networking and having fun. No more sitting and looking at PowerPoints late in the day! You can now close out your day of learning with an engaging Power Hour! Power Hours will include a walking tour of downtown Louisville, trivia, scavenger hunts and a Collegiate Farm Bureau meet up.

 

YF&R Wearables

The AFBF YF&R Committee is excited to bring back their YF&R wearables booth that will be located next to registration. The committee will be selling YF&R t-shirts, quarter zips, hats and notebooks. Make sure to purchase your items early as supplies are limited. On Friday and Saturday, the committee will also be selling derby hats and bow ties for attendees to wear at the Kentucky Derby Museum.

When you begin your travel to Louisville, make sure to share your travels on social media using the conference hashtag - #YFR2022. Once you get to the conference, keep posting to keep your family, friends and fellow YF&R members up-to-date on all of the fun.
