AFAO COMMUNITY AND ADVOCACY HUB 2016
About AFAO
The Australian Federation of AIDS Organisations (AFAO) is the national federation for the HIV community response. AFAO provides leadership, coordination and support to Australia's policy and advocacy response to HIV. AFAO also works internationally, with a particular focus on Asia and the Pacific.
AFAO’s members are the AIDS Councils in each state and territory; the National Association of People With HIV Australia (NAPWHA); the Australian Injecting and Illicit Drug Users League (AIVL); Anwernekenhe National HIV Alliance (ANA); and Scarlet Alliance, Australian Sex Workers Association.
AFAO Community and Advocacy Hub 2016
At the HIV & AIDS conference, AFAO is proud to once again be hosting the AFAO Community and Advocacy Hub. The Hub is a dedicated community space showcasing the work of the AFAO membership and other organisations involved in the HIV community response, through a dynamic program of presentations, panels, Q&A sessions and film screenings.
Visit the Hub in the Exhibition Hall to learn more about current programs and key issues driving Australia’s community response to HIV, and to network with staff from AFAO and its member organisations.
The Hub will also be available for community meeting and bookings (contact staff at the Hub for further information).
The full Hub program will be made available soon at: http://bit.ly/afaohub2016
