CRITERIA
The following criteria should be considered when nominating a symposium candidate:
- All nominations must be made by faculty in order to be considered, and are limited to doctoral students pursuing academic careers.
- Awards to attend the Doctoral Symposium will be made based on the nominee’s accomplishments to date, which indicate only the highest potential to succeed as a supply chain management faculty member in a tenure-track position
- Nominations from institutions around the world are encouraged to create a cohort of diverse backgrounds and experiences
- As participation is limited to 30 PhD candidates, priority will be given to the top nominee from each institution.
- Nominees should only be students who have not yet attended the Symposium
- In the event that seats remain open or become available due to cancellation by June 30, second nominees will be considered
CSCMP will provide the following for the selected hosted student:
- Complimentary registration for all events associated with the Donald J. Bowersox Doctoral Symposium, Academic Research Symposium, and Annual Conference, including designated meals associated with those events on September 30 - October 3, 2018 in Nashville, TN.
The Doctoral participant is responsible for:
- CSCMP Membership is required. An affordable student membership rate is available. Click here to learn more.
- Air and ground transportation to and from Gaylord Opryland Nashville, TN. The official hotels for CSCMP will be available for reservations on February 1, 2018.
- Any fees resulting in last-minute cancellations/changes in lodging
- Personal expenses and meals outside of the conference event
