ABOUT THE DONALD J. BOWERSOX DOCTORAL SYMPOSIUM

The 28th annual Donald J. Bowersox Doctoral Symposium is held in conjunction with the CSCMP’s Annual Conference. The Symposium is a highly rigorous, interactive, and informative event that offers innovative sessions that meet CSCMP's expanded scope and mission.

The Symposium is specifically designed for doctoral candidates in the latter stages of their doctoral studies, specializing in supply chain management and related fields of study, who intend to pursue a career in academia.

The Symposium will:

  • Offer an opportunity for students to develop a richer understanding of supply chain management-related disciplines, including logistics, operations management, supply management, and marketing
  • Provide a forum in which doctoral students will have an opportunity to dialogue with academic and practitioner leaders
  • Provide an opportunity to build a network of academic and nonacademic contacts
  • Expose students to research policy, techniques, and approaches
  • Build a level of professionalism and awareness of issues, challenges, and opportunities in the global business community

Please note: The Doctoral Symposium takes place during CSCMP’s Annual Global Conference – EDGE.  All faculty members are welcome to attend the Doctoral Symposium but will not be able to partake in any EDGE sessions, activities, meals, etc.  unless previously registered and badged for EDGE.  Student participants must be nominated and invited in advance
