The workshop will cover:
The implications of the first three Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI)* on listed companies:
  • Integration:
  • How do investors incorporate ESG issues into their portfolio construction?
  • How does this impact their buy, hold and sell decisions?
  • Engagement:
  • How do engagement and stewardship policies and practices, including proxy voting at AGMs, work in practice?
  • What is in the asset managers tool box to engage with companies and fulfil the mandates from asset owners?
  • Disclosure:
  • What do investors mean when they ask for appropriate disclosure on ESG issues by the entities in which they invest, and why are they asking for it?
The workshop will consist of 6 stand-alone presentations from asset owners, asset managers and investment consultants, each providing a detailed case-study explaining their approach to integration, engagement and disclosure, including what they perceive to be the key challenges for investors and companies.
