What are the dates for ASF 2013?
January 27-30, 2013

Is ASF 2013 accessible to the physically challenged?
Yes, the ARIA provides for reasonable accommodations to allow physically challenged individuals to participate in all ARIA Resort & Casino activities. Accessible sleeping rooms, wheelchairs and TDD kits are available. Persons with special needs should contact registration@americansecuritization.com specifying your requirements.

What is the dress code for the conference?
Business casual attire is appropriate for all conference activities. Since meeting room temperatures vary we recommend you bring a jacket or sweater to the sessions.

Is coffee or other beverages provided?
Breakfasts, lunches, breaks and beverages are provided during normal conference hours. These meals are primarily located in the exhibit hall. A full agenda with locations and times for meals will be available soon.
 
How do I obtain a visa to attend the conference?
The visa application process can take six months or more, so we encourage attendees from countries other than the United States to apply for their visas as early as possible, but no later than three months before they wish to enter the United States. Please note that a visa does not guarantee entry into the United States! Individuals may request a letter of invitation by email at registration@americansecuritization.com. The following must be included in your request:

  • Full name as it appears on your passport
  • Gender
  • Date of birth
  • Complete mailing address
  • Passport number and country of issue
  • Phone Number
  • Fax Number Requests may take up to 5 business days to process.

Management is not able to contact US Embassies in support of an individual attempting to gain entry into the host country to attend ASF 2013.

Registration

How and when can I register for ASF 2013?
Online registration is available through January 18, 2013. After January 18, 2013 all registrations must be done onsite at the conference. Onsite registration will open on January 27, 2013. ALL walk-in registrations will be charged a $65 onsite administrative fee that must be paid by credit card, along with the appropriate member or nonmember registration fee.

Government Employee: Persons directly employed by a federal, state or local government agency. 
 
Sponsor Employee: Sponsor Employee registrations may be used only by employees of the sponsoring organization as defined below, and are non-transferable outside of that organization.

Sponsor Employees include:

  • Persons directly employed by the legal entity that executed the sponsor application for the related event with ASF (the “Sponsoring Organization”).
  • Persons directly employed by affiliates of Sponsoring Organizations (whether those affiliates are separate legal entities or separate business units of the Sponsoring Organization), but only to the extent that such affiliates would be identified as belonging to the same ASF membership category as the Sponsoring Organization (e.g., issuer, financial intermediary, supplier, trustee), whether or not the Sponsoring Organization or affiliate is, in fact, an ASF member.
Sponsor Employees do NOT include:
  • Consultants, contractors, vendors and other third parties providing goods or services to a Sponsoring Organization, and anyone else who is not directly employed by the Sponsoring Organization.
  • Employees of affiliates of Sponsoring Organizations that would be identified as belonging to a different membership category as the Sponsoring Organization, whether or not Sponsoring Organization or affiliate is, in fact, an ASF member.
  • Clients of a Sponsoring Organization.

If you do not fall in to one of the categories listed above, you must register as an ASF member or nonmember. If you are directly employed by an ASF member firm (click here for a list of member firms) you may register as a member. For more information on becoming an ASF member please click here. What is the Staff Pass Policy?
Sponsor Employee registrations may be used only by employees of the sponsoring organization as defined below, and are non-transferable outside of that organization. Sponsor employees can register only after their firm has fully paid for its sponsorship.

Sponsor Employees include:

  • Persons directly employed by the legal entity that executed the sponsor application for the related event with ASF (the “Sponsoring Organization”).

Do I have to be an ASF member to attend the conference?
No, the conference is open to all securitization industry professionals. However, the pricing structure is different for members and nonmembers.

When does online registration end?
Online registration ends on January 18, 2013.

If I have not registered before online registration ends, can I still register for the conference?
Yes. Onsite registration opens on January 27, 2012 at the ARIA Convention Center. ALL walk-in registrations, including investors, issuers and sponsor employees, will be charged a $65 onsite administrative fee that must be paid by credit card. Government employees may have to submit a credit card for verification purposes.

Can I register over the phone?
No. Registration is available online through January 18, 2013, after which you may register onsite at the conference. Onsite registration will include a $65 administrative fee, regardless of registration category or membership, which must be paid by credit card.

What does my registration include?
Registration includes admission to the Keynotes, Sessions, Exhibit Hall, Meal Functions, and Receptions.

Can I attend only one day of the conference, or just a session, or two?
Yes, however pricing is only available for the entire conference.

Can I pay for my registration with a credit card?
Payment by credit card is preferred. Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover are accepted. Charges will appear on your credit card statement as "ASF INC" or "AMERICANSECFORUMINC."
 
Can I pay for my registration with a check?
Payment by credit card is preferred. If you are unable to pay with a credit card please email registration@americansecuritization.com. Checks must be received within 30 days of the date of the registration invoice. All payments must be made no later than January 18, 2013 or the registration will be cancelled. Please note that if you are registering onsite, you will be required to submit a credit card for verification, even if your registration is complimentary.

Am I able to register a group of people?
Yes, register as an individual and you will have the opportunity to add additional group members later in the registration process. If there are fees associated with this event, the total fees for all registrants in the group will be charged to the first person in the group. If members of the group are paying individually (for example, with different credit cards), you must create separate registrations for each.

What is the refund and cancellation policy for conference registration?
Registration cancellation requests MUST be submitted in writing to registration@americansecuritization.com. Refunds will be granted for any registration cancellation until Thursday, October 18, 2012. After Thursday, October 18, 2012, we regret that no refunds will be granted for any cancellation.

Will I receive an email confirmation?
Yes, you will receive confirmation by email that you are registered. If you do not receive an email confirmation, it means your registration did not go through. Please contact registration@americansecuritization.com if you have any problems.

Housing/Travel

How and when can I make a hotel reservation for ASF 2013?

I am an employee of a sponsoring organization. How do I make my hotel arrangements? 
Sponsor Employees should contact their firm’s event staff for instructions regarding reserving your hotel.

Will there be any shuttle service provided at ASF 2013?
Shuttles will not be provided. All conference events are within walking distance.

What airport is closest to the ARIA Conference Center?
Las Vegas McCarran International Airport (LAS) is the main airport to serve the Las Vegas area. It is a full-service airport located 3 miles from the ARIA hotel.

Where should I go when I arrive at the conference?
Please go to the ASF 2013 registration desk located at the ARIA Convention Center Entrance on Level 2 starting on Sunday, January 27, 2012. You may pick-up your badge and conference materials during normal registration hours. Please refer to the Conference Agenda for registration hours.

Is there a Business Center in the hotel?
The business center is centrally located on the 2nd Floor of the ARIA Convention Center.

What will the conference program be like?
ASF 2013 will feature a multi-day, multi-track program, combining general sessions which cover topics of broad interest along with concurrent break-out tracks designed for individual securitization market segments.

Speakers

How do I suggest a speaker and/or topic?
Speaker suggestions may only be submitted through the ASF 2013 website. Please click here to make a suggestion.

Please submit your suggestions as soon as possible. Speakers will be accepted until the majority of speakers have been confirmed. Due to the high volume of submissions, only individuals that are selected to speak at the conference will be notified directly by a member of the ASF staff.
