Eddie Barber
CEO
Cardiology Associates of North Mississippi

Eddie has been in the health care management field over 30 years.  Eddie assisted in building a large internal medical practice with over six locations.  He ultimately integrated this clinic into the local hospital system in the early 90’s.  Eddie worked for a publicly traded dialysis company for approximately 1 year.  After his short stay with the dialysis company, Eddie was hired as the Executive Director of Cardiology Associates of North Mississippi.  Over the last ten years Cardiology Associates has grown to 18 MDs, 5 Nurse Practitioners with four locations.


 
Ginger Biesbrock PA-C, MPAS, MPH, AAC

Ginger Biesbrock comes to MedAxiom Consulting from West Michigan Heart, a 39 Physician practice with 24 mid-level providers, where she acted as Director of Operations. At West Michigan Heart, Ginger oversaw all operations for ambulatory services, tertiary care and rural health practices. Ginger’s background as a Physician Assistant with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Grand Valley State University has been a valuable asset to her work in operations. Ginger also obtained a Master of Public Health degree from Michigan State University. Prior to her role as Director, Ginger was the COO of The Cardiovascular Group at Centra-health. This consisted of 22 Physicians and 10 mid-level providers. Ginger’s responsibility included all operations for ambulatory services in an outpatient department of Centra-health.

Ginger has been a Midlevel Provider for 13 years, 10 of which have been in Cardiology and the other 3 years were spent in Internal Medicine. She has worked in acute care settings and also provided ambulatory services. Both Grand Valley State University and Western Michigan University have utilized Ginger as an adjunct faculty member for the past 8 years. Ginger has done process improvement work to include readmissions, Heart Failure clinic operations, multidisciplinary clinic development and general office operations. She has received greenbelt training in Lean/Six-sigma.

Ginger will be concentrating her work on Care Team development and optimization with the goal of high functioning work teams. She has a strong background in developing chronic disease management programs around CV diseases that include transitional care and long term management. With the advent of bundled payments, healthcare reform, volume to value – these programs will be so valuable to our community.


 
Cathleen Biga
President and CEO
Cardiovascular Management of Illinois

Cathleen Biga is President and CEO of Cardiovascular Management of Illinois. She has over 30 years experience in health care, including positions as hospital CEO, VPof patient Care services and has been active in practice management for the last 15 years. She has recently completed three integrations for her current groups – successfully transitioning 46 cardiologists. CMI now offers management, billing, and EHR support for the integrated groups. Cathleen serves as the Executive Director of Adventist Heart and Vascular Institute and is instrumental in the development and growth of the CV Service Line for the organization. She has been active nationally with consulting and lecturing on physician/hospital integration, development and formation of CV SL, quality initiatives, development of Clinical co management agreements, designing balanced quality score cards, and advocacy issues. She serves on the advisory board of Medaxiom, is Past-President of CSCA, past-president of Cardiology Advocacy alliance, an active member of numerous ACC committees and workgroups and is on the Illinois Board of Councilors of ACC. She serves on multiple Boards and remains active in her community. With her background in hospital administration she is able to bring a unique perspective to practice management in these complex times.


 
Denise Brown

Denise Brown is the Vice-President of MedAxiom Consulting. As a health care executive with over 25 years of experience in hospital system and private practice healthcare operations, operational efficiency, physician recruitment, business development, marketing, and facilities planning; she recently achieved her Green Belt in Lean Sigma from the Johns Hopkins, Center for Innovation in Quality Patient Care.

Prior to her current position she was Chief Operating Officer at West Michigan Heart in Grand Rapids, Michigan. There she led the clinical, technical and business operations initiatives; business development efforts and operationalized both co-management and integration efforts for the practice. Ms. Brown also served as Director of Business Development for Wisconsin Heart and Vascular Clinics, owners of the Wisconsin Heart Hospital. She has extensive experience in developing clinical program models to drive referring physician, patient/consumer and payer engagement.

Denise also held prior positions as the AV.P. of Purchasing for Health Services Corporation of America (HSCA) one of the founding members of AmeriNet GPO as well as Materials Management Directorships at two healthcare systems in Wisconsin.



 
Joline Bruder

Joline has worked in health care administration for over 15 years. Her health care experience includes cardiology, cardio-thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, supervising, and consulting for coding and compliance.

Prior to joining MedAxiom, Joline served as a Coding Supervisor for HeartCare Midwest, a practice of 46 providers, and was the Lead Educator for the Cardio-Vascular Service Line for OSF Healthcare. She has provided procedure and evaluation and management audits, reporting, physician and staff compliance education sessions. She co-authored the Cardio-Vascular Thoracic Surgery Coding Specialty exam for the American Academy of Professional Coders. Additionally, Joline served over eight years on active duty with the US Navy and five years with the US Navy Reserves. She holds Associate Degrees in General Science and Arts and Liberal Science.

Joline is a member of the American Academy of Professional Coders.


 
Terry Carter MAOL

Terry Carter is the Director of the Cardiovascular Service Line for HealthPartners and Regions Hospital Heart Center. She has an undergraduate degree in Communication from The University of St. Thomas and a Masters in Organizational Leadership from St. Catherine University. During Terry’s time at Regions Hospital Heart Center, the center has been recognized by Thompson Reuters as a Top 100 Heart Hospital and Leapfrog named Regions Hospital a top cardiac care institution for quality and cost.


 
Dr. Carolina Demori
Orlando Heart Center

Carolina Demori, MD is a member of Mid-Florida Cardiology Specialists an affiliate of Orlando Health Heart institute and member of Orlando Health Physician Group. Dr. Demori will be providing superior adult cardiovascular care in the Central Florida area. She is affiliated with the Orlando Health Heart Institute, through Orlando Health and Women’s Institute, through Winnie Palmer Hospital for women and babies. She is originally from Venezuela and earned her Medical Degree from Luis Razetti Medical School. She trained in cardiovascular medicine at Rush University Medical Center, in Chicago, Illinois and in heart failure and heart transplantation at The University of Florida at Shands in Gainesville, FL. Dr. Demori is directing the Women's Heart Center which will deliver advanced and comprehensive cardiovascular care specifically tailored to meet the needs of women's hearts. Additionally, Dr. Demori will be directing the Heart Failure Program at Orlando Health Heart Institute. This program is intended to assist heart failure patients using the utmost and novel therapies currently available which include Left Ventricular Assist Device. Dr. Demori is board certified in cardiovascular medicine, nuclear cardiology, adult echocardiography, advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology, and cardiovascular computed tomography Her specialties include cardiovascular disease in women, heart failure and cardiac transplantation, pulmonary hypertension, and noninvasive cardiac imaging.


 
Karen Engelhardt

A Baton Rouge, Louisiana native, Karen Engelhardt has worked with cardiovascular specialists for thirty-two years. Her current role includes responsibilities for the cardiovascular enterprise at Our Lady of the Lake Heart and Vascular Institute.The enterprise consists of outpatient, ambulatory, and inpatient services.Karen currently leads the clinical transformation teams for cardiovascular services.The team identifies defects in care design through clinical data collection and transparent reporting.Karen is an active participant with MedAxiom and VHA.She is Board Member of Louisiana Chapter of American College of Cardiology.


 
Dr Ed Fry

Edward T. A. Fry, MD, FACC, FSCAI is Chairman of the Cardiology Division of St. Vincent Medical Group (formerly The Care Group), in Indianapolis, IN.He was born in Dublin, Ireland.He attended Grinnell College, IA, majoring in Chemistry, and medical school in St. Louis, MO at Washington University School of Medicine.Dr. Fry completed his Internal Medicine Internship and Residency, as well as Cardiology Fellowship at Barnes Hospital, St. Louis (Washington University).He served as Assistant Professor of Medicine and Medical Director of the Cardiac Transplant Service at Washington University/Barnes Hospital from 1989 to 1991.He completed his Interventional Cardiology Fellowship in 1992 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, where he continues to practice general and interventional cardiology today.His publications and research interests have focused on mechanisms of fibrinolysis, platelet function, and antithrombotic therapy in acute coronary syndromes and PCI.He also serves as National Chairman of the Acsension Health Interventional Cardiology Group, as a Board Member of St. Vincent Medical Group, and as Chairman of the Board of Navion Health Care Soluitions, LLC, a data management and quality services company.


 
Ryan M. Graver

President of MedAxiom Ventures, Ryan Graver brings two decades of diverse healthcare experience spanning multiple dimensions of care delivery, research, business development and med-tech related strategy. Leading the development of a joint venture between a University, community hospital, and private practice, Ryan was responsible for developing an integrated outcomes program which leveraged data analytics across the business practices of the venture. Ryan was an adjunct professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Minnesota. He developed and chaired a State-wide commission focusing on anatomical donation across the state of Minnesota. Ryan obtained hospital specific Kaizen training. Mr. Graver provided the direct oversight of a service line’s supply chain management, thus informing his perspective when leading the global healthcare economics and evidence development groups for Zimmer, Inc. In his most recent role, Ryan single-handedly developed and provided the leadership of the Healthcare Economics program in the Americas for St. Jude Medical. Responsible for developing an institutionalized value program, he created outcomes based-risk sharing contracts and device pricing models, developed cardiovascular economic models, and led efforts to help cardiovascular leaders understand and successfully navigate healthcare reform. Throughout his career Ryan has gained valuable experiences spanning numerous aspects of the health care industry which has provided him a unique skill set enabling him to create successful responses to the new challenges in this rapidly changing environment.


 
Pat Holloway
Chief Operating Officer
Oklahoma Heart Hospital Physicians


Pat Holloway is Chief Operating Officer of Oklahoma Heart Hospital Physicians (OHHP), the state’s largest cardiovascular provider consisting of 65 employed physicians and 24 mid-level providers.    He has served as the group’s chief administrator for the past 14 years and has been integrally involved in the formation, development and operations of Oklahoma Heart Hospital (OHH), the physician group’s parent organization.   OHH consists of two specialty heart hospitals (99-bed OHH North and 62-bed OHH South) with combined volumes of approximately 1,400 open heart surgeries, 4,000 coronary interventions, 12,000 coronary caths, 500 endarterectomies and 300 peripheral bypass grafts.  Prior to OHHP, Pat worked as Chief Executive Officer for two cardiovascular groups affiliated with MedCath, Inc. and as Director of Physician Operations with Baptist Health System in Birmingham, Alabama.  He received  his BS and MBA degrees in accounting and finance from the University of North Texas and his MHA degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  He is a Certified Public Accountant. 


 
Anne Honeycutt

Virginia Cardiovascular Specialists, Richmond, VA

Anne has been the Executive Director for Virginia Cardiovascular Specialists, a 38 man cardiology group in Richmond, VA. for 12 years. VCS is the largest independent cardiology group in Central Virginia. She has served in numerous roles in healthcare for over 30 years including the CEO for Stuart Circle Hospital and Executive Director for St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond, Va. Ann is the Administrative liaison for the Va. Chapter of the ACC and has served on the Cardiology Advocacy Board (CAA) since inception in 2005 and was President in 2007. During her years in Richmond, Ann has played an active role in the community working with the AHA, Children’s Hospital and RMGMA. She has served on the Children’s Hospital Board for over 16 years and was Chairman of the Board for 4 years. Ann was also involved with Central Virginia Health Network, the first network for non profit hospitals in Richmond prior to the hospital consolidations, and served as their chairman. She is currently working with other independent groups in Richmond to develop a clinically integrated network. VCS has been involved in Clinical Co Management partnerships with their local hospital.


 
Dr. Bradley Hubbard

Bradley L. Hubbard, MD, FACC, FASE, is board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine. Dr. Hubbard earned his medical degree from Rush Medical School in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT. He went on to complete a fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Dr. Hubbard has additional training in Adult Comprehensive Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology.

Dr. Hubbard has over 20 years of experience practicing in the area. His clinical interests include cardiac MRI, critical care and monitoring quality outcomes. He is Director of the Coronary Care Unit and Section Head of Cardiology at St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor, as well as a Clinical Instructor in Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan Medical School. Dr. Hubbard is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and American Society of Echocardiography (ASE). Also, he is an active member of the American College of Physicians, Michigan State Medical Association, Michigan Society of Echocardiography and American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.


 
Suzette Jaskie

Suzette Jaskie is President of MedAxiom Consulting and the Executive Vice-President of MedAxiom. Ms. Jaskie was the CEO of West Michigan Heart and Wisconsin Heart and Vascular in Milwaukee, WI prior to her current position. She also previously served as the Executive Director of the Frederick Meijer Heart and Vascular Institute, for Spectrum Health System in Grand Rapids, MI, that governs and manages the cardiovascular service line for the regional health system. Ms. Jaskie has a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Hartford and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin. 

Ms. Jaskie is a former President of Medical Group Management Association's cardiovascular assembly (CSCA) and is currently a serving on the American College of Cardiology's Practice Management Council. Ms. Jaskie is a faculty member of the American College of Cardiology Advanced Leadership Institute and a former board member of the Cardiovascular Advocacy Alliance. She has rich experience in strategic planning and program development and has been a speaker at numerous conferences on varied topics such as Physician Compensation, Strategic Planning, Product Line and Program Development, Performance Management, Operations Efficiency, as well as Governance and Leadership.


 
William Katsiyiannis MD, MS, FACC, FHRS
Chariman of Cardiology
Minneapolis Heart Institute

Dr. Katsiyiannis has a special interest and experience in performing complex catheter ablations, as well as device implants and extractions. He is the co-director of the Genetic Arrhythmia Clinic and screens, diagnosis and cares for families who have been affected by long QT syndrome, arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia (ARVD), brugada syndrome, left ventricular noncompaction, catecholamine-induced, polymorphic ventricular tachycardia. He is a recognized expert in his field, speaking nationally on the latest in abnormal heart rhythms.


 
Janet Kennedy
Executive Director
Cardiology Associates of Waterbury

Jan Kennedy began her healthcare career with Waterbury Hospital in 1974 taking on various financial and operational leadership roles aligned with the hospital’s integrated delivery system. Ms. Kennedy was integral in developing outpatient radiology, laboratory and home health care services prior to becoming the President and CEO of the hospital’s physician practice. In 2007, Ms. Kennedy became the Executive Director of Cardiology Associates, the prominent provider of cardiovascular services in the Waterbury area and proceeded to develop key strategies aligned with hospital merger and acquisition.

Effective March 1, 2011, Cardiology Associates became a wholly owned subsidiary of Waterbury Hospital and Ms. Kennedy continues to be a key member of the practice leadership team.


 
Nicole Knight
Director, Revenue Cycle Solutions

Nicole Knight, LPN, CPC, CCS-P, has worked in health care administration for over 18 years. Her health care experience varies from Cardiology and Neurology practice operations, clinical management, business office management, and consulting for coding and compliance. The most recent years have been devoted to practice operations and Electronic Health Record project management and implementation. 

Before coming to MedAxiom, Nicole served as Practice Administrator for Baptist Neurology and Northeast Florida Cardiology. She has continued to work as a coding and compliance consultant for various multi-specialty practices including Neurology, Hematology/Oncology, Radiology, Orthopedic, ENT, Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Internal Medicine. She has provided procedure and Evaluation and Management audits, reporting, physician and staff compliance education sessions nationally. 

Nicole maintains her LPN licensure in Louisiana and Florida. She is a member of the American Academy of Professional Coders and the American Health Information Management Association. She received her Advanced Coding Certification with the Board of Medical Specialty Coding. Nicole is a certified AHIMA ICD-10-CM Trainer and completed a Lean Healthcare training course at Johns Hopkins University. She also serves on the Physician Practice Council for AHIMA.



 
Dr. Swathy Kolli
Orlando Heart Center

Dr. Kolli earned her medical degree from Rangaraya Medical School in India. She completed internal medicine residency at Saint Louis University where she also served as chief resident. While serving as a chief resident she completed a masters program in public health from Saint Louis University. She went on to complete a cardiology fellowship at University of South Florida in Tampa. Additionally, she received training in advanced cardiovascular imaging from Harvard University (Brigham and Women’s Hospital). She also served as a chief cardiovascular imaging fellow at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Dr. Kolli’s special areas of interest include general cardiology, cardiovascular imaging (cardiac CT, cardiac MRI, 3D-Echo, PET) and cardio-oncology. She is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and cardiovascular computed tomography.

Dr. Swathy Kolli joined Orlando Heart Center in 2012 and practices at the Sand Lake office. Dr. Kolli along with Dr. Demori co-directs cardio-oncology program at Orlando health.


 
Dr. Warren S. Levy MD, FACC

Dr. Levy is an interventional cardiologist who serves as President and Chief Medical Officer of Virginia Heart, located in the Northern Virginia suburbs of Washington, D.C. Virginia Heart remains an independent private practice with 40 cardiologists and 18 Nurse Practitioners providing care at nine clinical offices and six hospitals, covering a large geographic footprint. Dr. Levy has served on committees of the American College of Cardiology, as Chairman of Clinical Risk Management (Peer Review) for a major hospital, is Medical Director of Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Services and has served on the Admissions Committee of The George Washington University School of Medicine. He is currently on faculty at The Georgetown University School of Medicine and has published multiple studies as first author in major peer reviewed medical journals. Dr. Levy has served for many years on the MedAxiom Advisory Counsil and has coordinated the physician program at MedAxiom meetings.


 
Mark McDonald MA, CMPE
Assistant Vice President, Heart Institute
The Heart Institute at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center

Mark McDonald received an MA from the University of Cincinnati. Subsequently, he held positions with Kaiser Permanente as Manager, Management Engineering, the Health Alliance of Greater Cincinnati as the Vice President for Cardiovascular Services, and the Ohio Heart and Vascular Center as the Chief Operating Officer prior to joining the Heart Institute at Cincinnati Children’s as the Assistant Vice President (AVP). The Heart Institute AVP role is responsible for the integration of the clinical and research missions of the Heart Institute, strategic planning and daily operational business management. The institute encompasses Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, elements of other medical specialties and basic science research as a completely integrated service line. McDonald is published on strategic planning, operations analysis, facility design and cardiovascular business development. The articles reflect extensive experience in private practice, integrated delivery networks, adult and pediatric cardiovascular services.


 
Terri McDonald RN, MBA, CPHQ

Tallahassee Memorial Health System

Terri McDonald is the Heart and Vascular Service Line Administrator at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare, a 772-bed acute care hospital and healthcare system in Tallahassee, FL. The TMH Heart and Vascular Center provides a broad range of tertiary-level cardiovascular care. Following a clinical career in critical care and cardiovascular nursing, Terri has served in numerous administrative and operational leadership roles in the acute hospital setting, including nursing, medical staff services, performance improvement, risk management, case management, outcomes management, compliance, ancillary services, and service line development/management.


 
Katie Moriarty MD, PhD
Department Head Cardiology and Medical Director of Congestive Heart Failure

Dr. Katie Moriarty is a non-invasive cardiologist with HealthPartners at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. In her current position as the Department Head of Cardiology and Medical Director of the Congestive Heart Failure Clinic, Dr. Moriarty has been involved in the development of innovative cardiovascular quality initiatives, and has helped to implement them on a system-wide and community level. She is board certified in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology.


 
Jeff Ozmon

Jeff has more than 20 years of healthcare industry experience serving health systems, hospitals, medical groups and academic institutions. For the past 4 years, Jeff has served as the VP at Sanger Heart and Vascular Institute, an integrated 85 member cardiology and CT surgery group at Carolinas Healthcare System. During Jeff’s tenure at Sanger he was responsible for 26 locations, representing over 500 employees in North Carolina and South Carolina. Previously, he spent 3 years with LarsonAllen, LLP as a healthcare consultant with expertise in physician-hospital alignment, strategic and business planning, compensation plans, process improvement, organizational development, governance and leadership development.

Jeff's experience also includes serving as large group administrator for Primary Care, Multispecialty and Specialty group in both private practice and integrated health systems including Sentara and Columbia/HCA. He has a Masters of Business Administration from Averett University and is a Certified Medical Practice Executive since 2009.


 
Michelle Reese

Michelle, CPC, has worked in health care administration as a consultant and certified coder for more than 20 years, including 11 years as the Director of Revenue Cycle for Charlotte Cardiology Associates. She has a long history of cultivating strong working relationships with health care executives and physicians; her expertise includes an individualized approach to best practices, revenue cycle, clinical documentation improvement, and compliance with a specialization in CVSL. Michelle has worked with a number of cardiology groups as a consultant providing services in the areas of coding and documentation, at-the-elbow training and education, compliance, and operations. She has also worked as a project manager for both cardiology and multi-specialty evaluation and management audits, physician education and compliance efforts. Her most recent work includes projects related to value performance, data analytics and the dynamic shift in health care from fee-for-service to fee-for-value.


 
Jeff Russell

Northeast Ohio Cardiovascular Specialists

Jeff Russell is Chief Administrative Officer for Northeast Ohio Cardiovascular Specialists (NEOCS) located in Akron, Ohio. NEOCS has 26 cardiologists and 22 non-physician practitioners covering six hospitals and nine offices in a three-county area. Mr. Russell has been with NEOCS for four years. A major recent accomplishment is completing the negotiation of the group’s 2nd generation employment agreements with their hospital partner. Jeff has been in healthcare for nearly 30 years with lengthy engagements in hospital financial management, consulting and group practice management. Jeff graduated from the University of Delaware with a BS in Accounting.


 
Joel Sauer

For over 14 years, Joel Sauer was Chief Executive Officer of a large Midwestern multi-specialty physician group. Through his leadership, the group expanded from a single specialty practice of 15, to over 225 physicians with over 600 employees in nearly every medical specialty.

In 2009, Joel orchestrated the acquisition of his own group by a large health system and then acquiring other practices to create an accountable care network. Beyond engineering the transaction details, Joel provided the leadership behind the operational and cultural integration of the merged entities. Beginning in 2001, Joel led his group's conversion from a paper chart to a full electronic health record. Given the complexity of the process, both from an operational and cultural standpoint, Joel considers this one of his greatest accomplishments. Joel headed up two significant site development projects for the group including the construction of an attached, two operating room, ambulatory surgery center and a significant expansion and renovation of the group's previous building. Other relevant experiences Joel brings to the table include: strategic planning, joint venture formation, hospital/health system relations, financial analysis, payor contract negotiations, implementing operational efficiencies, and ancillary services creation. 

Prior to his tour as CEO, Joel worked for a large hospital, managed an outpatient ancillary services business, and worked for a healthcare software developer in implementation and support.



 
Fred Simmons, JR. CMPE, CPA

Frederic R. Simmons, Jr., CPME, CPA, has wide ranging experience in the medical practice industry as a CEO, Executive Director, consultant and outside accountant. Fred has served as the CEO of Clearwater Cardiovascular and Interventional Consultants in Clearwater, Florida since 1995. Previously, he served as Executive Director of University Medical Service Association, Inc., the faculty practice plan of the University of South Florida, College of Medicine in Tampa, FL. Before joining UMSA, Fred practiced public accounting in the Accounting and Audit Division of a national CPA firm.

Throughout his career, Fred has provided consulting and expert witness services in the medical practice industry. He is a frequent contributor to MedAxiom and MGMA. Fred has written numerous articles on practice management topics and is a contributing author of theMedical Practice Management Body of Knowledge Review Series: Financial Management book for MGMA.

Fred has served as the Chairman of the MGMA Survey Advisory Committee and currently serves on the MedAxiom Survey Committee. He is a Past President of the Academic Practice Assembly of the Medical Group Management Association. Fred received his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Florida State University and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Florida.

Tom Talley

Tom Talley has worked in healthcare for 38 years, both in hospitals and in medical practices in a senior administrative position. He has 23 years of leadership experience in cardiovascular groups in Iowa, North Carolina and Minnesota. He is currently the COO of the Minneapolis Heart Institute that consists of 65 Cardiologists and Surgeons along with 47 NP’s and PA’s. Tom has operational responsibility for the Cardiovascular Service Division of Abbott Northwestern Hospital consisting of the 128 bed Heart Hospital on the Abbott Northwestern campus along with the five metro and regional cardiology clinics within the Minneapolis Heart Institute. For the past 11 years, he has served as an Advisory Board member of MedAxiom. Tom received his BS in Business Administration and his MBA in Management from Emporia State University in Kansas.


 
Lori Walsh

Lori received her Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville then a Masters in Health Administration for University of Arkansas in Little Rock. While completing her master’s degree, she began working in cardiology with Heart Clinic Arkansas, as a graduate assistant. Lori felt so comfortable in this environment, she stayed with HCA through 2009 working within the operational side of the practice. During her tenure, she oversaw a full EHR implementation with GEMMS, launched three new outreach clinics and a cath lab, as well as managing the staff at these new facilities. Lori became entrenched within the practice and was promoted to Director of Operations where her involvement included a practice merger, workflow redesign projects and more. Lori’s role with MedAxiom as National Sales Manager is to bring her vast practice experience to our current and prospective members through building relationships and sharing the value of the MedAxiom membership benefits for the practices.


 
Patrick White

Pat has been in the health-care management field for over thirty years, seventeen of which were in medical-group practice management. He received a master of public health degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and spent thirteen years with the Henry Ford Health System, including five years as the Administrator for the Department of Internal Medicine. He has also served as the Executive Director of Michigan Heart, a 36-member cardiology practice in Ann Arbor, for twelve years. Pat was also very active in the Cardiology Leadership Alliance (CLA) and served as its President in 2001.

Pat is on the Board of Directors for the Council for Certification in CardioVascular Imaging (CCCVI) and also on the Board of Directors for the CCCVI Foundation for which he is also the Secretary/Treasurer.  He is also on the Board for the Cardiology Advocacy Alliance.


 
David Wolinsky MD FACC FASNC

Dr. Wolinsky is a graduate of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.

He spent 22 years as a senior partner in Albany Associates in Cardiology in Albany, New York before joining the Heart and Vascular Institute of Cleveland Clinic Florida in 2011. Dr. Wolinsky has always been active in nuclear cardiology. He established the first outpatient nuclear cardiology laboratory in upstate New York. He is a founding a member of the American Society Nuclear Cardiology and has been active in quality initiatives and advocacy. He helped revise the appropriate use criteria for myocardial perfusion imaging and is the lead author of the ASNC Model Coverage Policy for SPECT Myocardial Perfusion Imaging.

Dr. Wolinsky is president of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. His focus is on demonstrating value and improving outcomes in nuclear cardiology. He is a member of the Registry Oversight Committee of ImageGuide, the ASNC registry for nuclear cardiology testing.

In addition to his interest in nuclear cardiology, Dr. Wolinsky is passionate about his two Basset Hounds.
