Housing Lottery

Due to the high demand for housing during Reunion, an on-campus housing lottery will take place to allow as many alumni as possible to stay on campus.

When will the lottery occur?

The lottery will be open from Friday, January 17, to Friday, January 31. It does not matter when you enter the lottery within this time frame; you will have the same chance for housing. The housing lottery is the only way to be considered for on-campus housing. Once closed, the lottery will not reopen. The housing lottery closed at 8 p.m. EST (5 p.m. PST) on Friday, January 31.

How will I know if I am selected from the lottery?

If selected, you will be notified via email between Monday, February 3, and Friday, February 14. You will have 48 hours to accept and pay for your Reunion housing. The offer to purchase a room will expire 48 hours after the selection email is sent.

To ensure you receive the email, please add alumni@villanova.edu to your contacts and check spam/junk folders frequently.

Individuals selected for the lottery must reserve on-campus housing using the name and email address provided during lottery entry. Reservations are nontransferable.

What do I do if I'm not selected from the lottery?

If you are not selected for the lottery, you will receive an email the week of February 17. Click here to view other lodging options.

If the person I'm rooming with and I are both selected from the lottery, do we both have to make a reservation?

No. Only one member of a group needs to complete the housing reservation form. All other guests should click the “Decline Housing” button in the lottery selection email. The primary reservation holder must include all guest names in the reservation. It is not necessary to fill all guest spots in a room in order to complete a reservation. However, the cost is per apartment per night and does not change if there less than 4 guests per apartment. Guest names are not required at time of reservation but beds will only be made for guests for whom names have been provided. If a guest’s name is not provided by May 4, 2020, the bed will not be made.

What should I do if I am selected from the lottery, but I no longer need on-campus housing?

Click the "Decline Housing" button in the housing selection email to let us know you do not need on-campus housing.

What to Bring

On-campus accommodations are basic student rooms that offer few amenities and reflect the standard student living experience. Rooms will be supplied with the following for all registered guests: pillows, bed linens, towels and washcloths. Guests must be registered by name by May 4 in order to receive bed linens. There will be a limited supply of blankets. We want your stay to be as comfortable as possible so our strong recommendation is that you bring extra blankets with you.

Basic personal care items such as soap, shampoo, toilet tissue and hangers will also be provided. Please also bring along additional toiletries and other items you anticipate needing.

Housekeeping services will not be available during the weekend.
