The Helen and William O’Toole Dean of the Villanova School of Business

Wen Mao, PhD, serves as The Helen and William O’Toole Dean of the Villanova School of Business (VSB) and faculty member of the Economics Department. In this role, she serves as the chief executive, academic and fiscal officer for VSB.

A faculty member at the Villanova School of Business since 1995, Dr. Mao has held numerous leadership roles at VSB and previously served as its Vice Dean. In this role, she had oversight of all aspects of VSB’s academic and day-to-day operations. She also previously served as the school’s associate dean of faculty and as chair of the Department of Economics. Throughout her 28 years at Villanova University, Dr. Mao has had a key role in strengthening the undergraduate and graduate student experience through a focus on community and educating the whole person, supporting increased faculty research productivity and furthering the strategic mission of the School and University.
