The 2024 Berkeley-Stanford Veridical Data Science Workshop will be held on the UC Berkeley campus. Browse the resources below before your visit. 

Venue

Banatao Auditorium is located in Sutardja Dai Hall. Get complete venue information on the CITRIS website, including disability access and parking options. The address is 2594 Hearst Ave, 3rd Floor, Berkeley, CA 94720. If you enter the building from Hearst Ave, you are on the 3rd floor and the auditorium is just inside the doors. If you enter the building from the campus, you will be on the 2nd Floor. Food and Drink

You will be offered lunch during the conference. If you would like to get coffee/tea or a snack, Yali's Cafe is located on the 2nd Floor of Sutardja Dai Hall and there are many restaurants nearby on Euclid Ave.

Parking

The closest street parking is limited to 2 hours, so it is not recommended. As an alternative, there are campus parking lots and city parking lots. Find Campus Parking Information here and Off-campus Parking here.

BART and Transit

The closest BART station is Downtown Berkeley. It is approximately a 20-minute walk to the venue. This Campus Map shows walking routes from BART. Alternatively, you can take an Uber or Lyft from Downtown Berkeley or North Berkeley station.

The campus shuttle system is called BearTransit. The shuttle is free for Berkeley affiliates with a Cal ID and costs $1 for visitors. Learn more and check the route schedule.

Local Accommodations

The "Visit Berkeley" website includes a Berkeley Hotel Map and filters to find what you need. There are hotels near the Downtown Berkeley BART station and on the other side of campus near Sproul Plaza. The walk through campus is beautiful!
