The deadline for student case reports, for this year's student program, has passed. Submissions have been reviewed and the commitee selected case reports to be displayed, and the top 3 case reports will be awarded at the conference. Additionally, the top case report will be presented prior to the student quiz bowl.
Student Program
Sponsored by Capstone Medical Services
The student program of the ATSNJ Conference focuses on stimulating and supplementing the learning that athletic training students from all around New Jersey are already getting. Through the 3 speakers who offer their unique knowledge, we aim to expand beyond the information available in traditional classes. Kip Patterson will be holding a taping demo for his high ankle sprain tape job dubbed the Red Hot Chili Pepper. Jaclyn Morrissette will be lecturing about how students can build their brand to stand out amongst their peers and otherwise preparing for employment post-graduation. Pete Koengies will be presenting on traditional Chinese medicine to allow a perspective on medicine commonly not seen in the classroom. In addition to the speakers, panelists will come to offer their unique experiences in the field of athletic training and then a quiz bowl will be held to test the knowledge of the students.

RHCP Tape
Technique
About 10 years ago, Kip Patterson, ATC/L, CSCS began experimenting on a tape procedure for high ankle sprains which he has nicknamed the "Red Hot Chili Peppers," after how the tape mimics the band's famous logo. Today, Kip has used the Red Hot Chili Peppers to aid his athletes in their return to full activity by supporting the crucial structures as the stressors increase. After numerous trials and adjustments, he is now ready to introduce this tape to our student registrants as an addition tool for their growing "toolbox." Register today to learn hear new methods and learn hands-on techniques which will aid you in your future profession. Upon registration, an email will be sent listing the tape needed for the taping lab.
