Founder and Director of Welcome Two, has over 20 years of designing and delivering apprenticeships and learning and development in both large and small organisations including Working Links, LV=, British Gas, Specsavers and Virgin Care.
She has held senior roles in talent, apprenticeships and L&D. Due to this Erica is well known and networked in the sector and was included in the Top 30 Apprenticeship Influencer on LinkedIn in 2019.
Erica specialises in digital and innovation in learning and apprenticeships, specifically 2-minute training videos, virtual classrooms, webinars, blended learning, alongside apprenticeship training consultancy. Erica delivers online facilitation certifications and is deemed as a thought leader in this space. She is also an accredited coaching practitioner with the European Coaching and Mentoring Council and delivers the highly interactive ‘Coaching with Purpose’ programme.
Erica has a unique and specialist mix of experience having been both a levy decision maker and a provider lead. She sits on various apprenticeship provider boards advising on EIF and learning strategies.
At British Gas, an OFSTED grade one provider, Erica oversaw engineering, customer service and management apprenticeships, with over 1,500 apprentices on programme at one time.
Having chaired one of the largest apprenticeship trailblazer groups being one of the first employer development groups to commission the new apprenticeships standards, customer service practitioner and customer service specialist, Erica has the insight from both the provider and the employer perspective and knows how to position apprenticeships to maximise employee engagement, development and mobility.
The customer service practitioner apprenticeship at British Gas drove a 6% increase in productivity in the contact centres and was recognised as one of the leading customer service initiatives in the organisation.
