Attendee Cancellation Policy

Registration cancellation requests received on or before May 31, 2024 will receive a full refund.

•  To cancel your registration, log into your registration record and select Modify Registration.

No refunds will be available for cancellation requests received on or after June 1, 2024. For more information regarding refund, complaint and program cancellation policies, please contact our offices at ECASTrainingEvents@ucop.edu.

COVID

For the duration of the Symposium we will be following local Los Angeles County COVID protocols.

Parking

•  Overnight Guests: a discounted self-parking rate of $20/Day is available with in-and-out privileges.

•  Daily Guests: a discounted self-parking rate $12/Day is available without in-and-out privileges.

•  Valet Parking: Not included. Should you wish to valet park you would be responsible for the full charge.

Flying

The closest airport is the Hollywood Burbank Airport/Bob Hope Airport (BUR) in Burbank, CA.

Lodging

The Symposium is at Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City, Universal City, CA

•  The group rate is $259/Night for single/double occupancy plus tax.

-  The cutoff date to receive the group rates is July 27, 2024, or once the group block is full, which may be prior to this date.

-  Please cancel your reservation 24 hours prior to arrival to avoid penalty. There is no deposit required at the time of booking.

-  You are responsible for managing your hotel arrangements, including booking, updating, or canceling.

Continuing Professional Education Credits Oppotunities

Our Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits count towards Compliance Certification Board (CCB), International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA), and other professional organizations. 

•  Please check with your local certifying body about the acceptability of earning CPE credits for specific Symposium sessions.

University of California – Ethics, Compliance and Audit Services is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.nasbaregistry.org.

Session materials will be provided electronically, in accordance with the UC’s Carbon Neutrality Initiative.

•  Session materials will be posted to the Mobile App, as the presenters share them with us.

•  Please note that not all sessions have materials accompanying them.

Accessibility

Meals

Symposium attendees will have breakfast, a morning refreshment break, lunch, and an afternoon refreshment break available to them for the duration of the event. 

•  Attendees are responsible for their own dinners.

If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, please share that information in your registration form or reach out to Training and Events directly: ECASTrainingEvents@ucop.edu. We will do our best to accommodate your request.

•  Please note, there may be times when the hotel may not be able to prevent cross-contamination from occurring. In those instances, we will inform you prior to the event so you may make other arrangements.

Nearby Dining Options

The Universal Studios City Walk, a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel, offers numerous dining options for attendees who might prefer to venture out on their breaks, in addition to dinner.

•  Please note, there is a courtesy shuttle that runs between the Hilton, Sheraton, and the Universal Studios City Walk.

Event Cancellation Policy

In the event of an unforeseen but mandatory event cancellation (ex: Force Majeure event), all attendees and speakers will be notified about the cancellation and your impending refund via email. There will also be clear postings on the event's website.
