California 4-H State Field Day

Robotics Contest

Robotics Contest Information

In person at State Field Day, May 17, 2025, 1-3 pm

The State Robotics Competition is a place for 4-H members to showcase their skills and learning in robotics. It also provides an opportunity for you and your leaders to network with others across the state who are interested in robotics and other STEM-related programs and activities. This year the Robotics Contest will be playing Rapid Relay.

Rapid Relay is a high-speed scoring match of coordination. At Field Day the competition coordinators will set up one or two VEX IQ Robotics fields for the Rapid Relay Competition as shown on the VEX IQ website.

The primary objectives of the game are to pass the balls between robots, score balls through targets, and clear switches.
