CUREE 2023 Workshop will be in the Zachry Engineering Education Complex on the Texas A&M University campus. The main hall (CHEVRON STUDIOS 297-299) is on the second floor, across the lobby from Starbucks.

Discussion Topics

CUREE is focused on bringing the community together and discussing ways to improve research and design projects for undergraduate engineering students. Possible topics for discussion include:

  • Cultivating mentorship for capstone or research faculty both within majors and across majors

  • How to manage capstone teams effectively 

  • Promoting best practices for faculty serving as mentors

  • How to pursue multi-department capstone projects

  • Supporting collaborations of capstone or research teams across majors

  • Facilitating sponsor engagement across multiple departments

  • What makes a good sponsor

  • Streamlining agreements for sponsored projects

  • Effective recruitment of sponsored projects

  • Maker Space and what resources/training do students need

  • What can engineering learn from other fields’ approaches to capstone and undergraduate research projects
