Make plans to join the International Orthopedic Education Network for the Technology and Outpatient Hip & Knee Arthroplasty Course - the premier Spring meeting focused on hip and knee arthroplasty - taking place May 11-13, 2023 at the JW Marriott Indianapolis.

Through surgical video demonstrations, case-based panels, and interactive didactics, our expert faculty will concentrate on the rapid migration of hip and knee procedures into the outpatient ASC setting and address the role of enabling advanced technology such as robotics, AR/VR/MR and other advanced technologies.

Course Objectives:

  • Describe the advantages and disadvantages associated with intraoperative technologies available for hip and knee replacement procedures, including robotic-assisted techniques. 

  • Summarize the reported advantages and disadvantages of cemented and cementless techniques for fixation in knee arthroplasty. 

  • Compare the features and potential benefits of technologies available for the orthopaedic office and describe strategies for implementation. 

  • Assess techniques and technologies for preventing, diagnosing, and treating superficial and deep surgical site infections in hip and knee replacement patients. 

  • Evaluate new technologies intended to support the rehabilitation experience of hip and knee replacement patients. 

  • Review and discuss the current status of outpatient hip and knee replacement and the technologies that enable safe and effective patient outcomes. 

  • Learn the clinical protocols for safe and effective outpatient hip and knee arthroplasty including patient selection, latest clinical and perioperative protocols and postoperative monitoring.  

  • Identify strategies for preventing complications of total hip arthroplasty and possible solutions to implement if complications occur. 

  • Identify current technologies to optimize outcomes in revision hip and knee arthroplasty.
