Dr. Gbola Adesogan
Associate Vice President and Director of the Global Food Systems Institute
Dr. Adesogan is an Associate Vice President and Professor of Ruminant Nutrition, and the former Director of the Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Livestock Systems. His research has focused on improving forage production, quality and preservation and using feed additives, forages, and byproducts to improve animal production and health. His recent work has focused on sustainably increasing animal-source food production and consumption as director of the Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Livestock Systems.
Prior to joining UF, Gbola Adesogan was an assistant professor at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, UK. He has served on the editorial boards for the Journal of Animal Science and ANIMAL. He received his Ph.D. in Animal Production Science and M.S. in Animal and Forage Science from Reading University, UK. He earned a B.S. degree in Animal Science from University of Ibadan Nigeria.
