There are many hotel options in the San Diego and La Jolla area within a reasonable distance to UC San Diego. Here are a few directly surrounding the local area or favorites of our visitors. - Sheraton La Jolla Hotel: This hotel offers special UCSD rates when available. Current 2023 discounted rates start at $219 (January – May, September – December) and $249 (June – August). These rates are based on hotel availability and subject to change at any time.

- Select “Corp/Promo code” and type in: UC0 (zero, not ‘O’)
If the discounted rate is available, it will populate. If it’s not available, then the best available rate at that time will populate.

Parking & Transportation
Permits are required when parking on campus. The Hopkins Parking Structure sits just to the south of SDSC and west of Qualcomm Institute.

Transportation
Ride share services are recommended if you chose not to drive onto campus. UC San Diego also has new trolley service through MTS Blue Line Trolley.
