GSB offers six steps to developing responsible business leadership: Leadership Assessment, Leadership Retreat, Sustainability Workshops, Leadership Coaching, Program-specific ESG Events. These steps are outlined on the home page.
Students need to complete four of these steps to receive the Responsible Business Leadership certification. Two of those four steps must be Leadership Assessment and attending one Sustainability Workshop.
All students who complete the Responsible Business Leadership certification will receive recognition during the RBL end of year celebration and at their graduation ceremony. Students who complete all six RBL steps, will receive special recognition at these events.
There is no additional cost to the students to participate in any RBL events.
RBL certification is to be completed within one academic year.
You can track your RBL certification progress on the GSB Event App. Open the app, select Responsible Business Leadership and then "Certification Status."
We encourage you to attend as many as your schedule will permit in order to enhance your sustainability literacy. You need to attend one sustainability event to obtain RBL certification.
You will need to self-report your attendance at Sustainability Events. Fill out this form. In it, you will need to provide the name of the event, the date, and a brief paragraph (3 to 5 sentences) describing how this event increased your sustainability literacy and your responsible leadership skills.
A sustainability event would be any lecture, workshop, or conference on sustainability and would help our students increase their sustainability literacy. We'll identify events that qualify throughout the academic year and will notify students.
We encourage you to attend as many program-specific ESG events as your schedule will permit. Attending one program-specific ESG event will satisfy this step towards obtaining RBL certification.
