NCOA’s Trailblazers in Aging Awards recognize individuals and organizations around the country who are working toward a just and caring society that allows all of us to age with dignity, purpose, and security.

2023 Award Categories
Innovator
This award recognizes an individual or organization who has created innovative solutions to improve the health and economic security of older adults in the community. This award includes a $1,000 cash tribute thanks, in part, to a generous donation from a member of the family of Jack Ossofsky, a former NCOA president who launched numerous successful programs and promoted the true promises of an aging society.
Change Agent
This award recognizes an individual or organization working to ensure that every person—regardless of gender, color, sexuality, income, or zip code—has the resources to age well.
NISC Founder
This award recognizes a senior center professional who, through leadership, innovation, collaboration, and commitment, has had a positive and lasting impact on the senior center field. The Founder's Award is presented by NCOA’s National Institute of Senior Centers (NISC).
