COVID Precautions

We are all eager to return to in-person activities, but COVID remains a difficult-to-predict factor. Asilomar's COVID policies are available on their website. In addition to whatever state and venue guidance is in place on September 19, we expect that all participants self-test for COVID within 24 hours before arrival. If the infection trajectory is rising at the time of the meeting, we will also ask all participants to wear masks in indoor settings.

Asilomar Conference Grounds

Asilomar Hotel & Conference Grounds offers 107 acres of nature grounds steps from Asilomar State Beach. The LTER All Scientists' Meeting will be the only guests for the duration of our meeting — creating ample opportunities to connect with colleagues between sessions, during early-morning beach walks or over a friendly game of ping-pong or horseshoes.

The property was designated as a Historic Landmark in 1987 and boasts a rich history and unique architecture for guests to enjoy. Asilomar is conveniently located to a wide array of activities and things to do in the Pacific Grove area.
