About the conference

UC offers an annual conference in early September open to all those who work with first-year applicants. We know you're invested in your students' futures and want them to excel in college, succeed in their careers and make a difference in the world. We consider you valuable partners.

This year our virtual conference will offer eight sessions plus an additional campus update with the nine undergraduate admission directors on Thursday, September 15. After the campus update, attendees may choose from two options for each of the four session time slots. 

We look forward to working with you on behalf of your students. 

Registration

As space is limited, all attendees must complete a short registration process which ensures attendees access to all sessions and recordings. The conference registration fee is $45. Attendees may select any session they would like to attend for that single conference fee. Since each session is limited, attendees should select all sessions they wish to attend in the registration process. 

Groups are welcome to register. Each attendee in the group will receive an individual confirmation with information on how to access conference sessions. Groups may submit a single payment, and add registrants at any time.

Sessions

Attendees will hear from admission directors and staff representatives, staff and current students and are encouraged to raise questions.

Session topics include: 

• updates on admission policy and practice for first-year/freshman admissions
• campus admission data and trends
• planning for transfer to UC
• tips for completing the Personal Insight Questions
• how UC uses a comprehensive review process
• supporting students interested in pre-health careers

Session recordings and PDFs with presenter notes will be available to registrants for downloading shortly after the conference concludes.
