Ohio Housing Conference FAQs


Q. When will registration open?

 

Registration will open in September 2019.

 

 

Q. Who should attend?

 

Developers, property managers, investors, syndicators, architects, real estate professionals, lenders, accountants, attorneys, government officials, nonprofit organizations — anyone who is passionate about affordable housing and eager to shape the future of the industry.

 

 

Q. What does the registration fee include?

 

The registration fee includes conference sessions, meals and receptions. Pre-conference workshops are offered on Monday, November 4, 2019, for an additional fee.

 

 

Q. Does the conference offer group discounts?

 

No, the conference does not offer group discounts.

 

 

Q. What should I do if I haven't received a registration confirmation?

 

Please contact occh@occhevents.org for a copy of your confirmation.

 

 

Q. Will speakers receive a discounted rate?

 

Yes, two types of discounted registrations are offered to panelists and speakers. There is no charge for presenters attending only the sessions at which they are presenting; their registrations are complimentary. Presenters attending other sessions receive a $65 reduction in the conference registration fee. All panelists and speakers must register for the conference.

Q. What is your cancellation policy?

 

A cancellation must be received in writing by October 25, 2019, to receive a refund. No cancellations or refunds will be processed after October 25. Refunds will not be issued for no-shows.

Q. Where should I park my vehicle?

 

Twelve parking facilities are located in close proximity to the Greater Columbus Convention Center.

Q. How do I reserve a hotel room?

 

A block of hotel rooms has been secured at the Hyatt Regency Columbus, 350 North High Street, attached to the Greater Columbus Convention Center. The hotel is located on the northern edge of downtown in the Arena District and adjacent to the Short North area.

To secure a room at the special rate of $168 for single or double occupancy, please make your reservation by October 14, 2019 at Hyatt Regency Hotel Reservation.

 

 

Q. What is the dress code for the conference?

 

Conference attendees are welcome to wear business clothing. Feel free to be comfortable in slacks, polo shirts, sweaters, blouses and most importantly, comfortable shoes!

 

 

Q. Who should I contact with disability accommodation requests?

 

If you need a disability-related accommodation or wheelchair access information, please contact occh@occhevents.org.

 

 

Q. Will I be able to access the conference website on my mobile device?

 

Yes, the conference website is fully accessible on PCs, laptops, tablets and smart phones.

 

 

Q. Will conference attendees receive handouts for each session?

 

No, but we will make every attempt to upload presentations online before the event. You may view the materials during the conference on a laptop, tablet or smart phone, or print them before the conference if you choose.

 

 

Q. What should I bring to the conference?

 

Conference attendees are welcome to bring laptops, tablets and smart phones to view presentations, as well as business cards, phone chargers and notepads. The conference will provide a tote bag, snacks and beverages.

 

 

Q. Will the conference photographer take my photo?

 

The Ohio Housing Conference employs a photographer to capture images during the conference. It is possible that your photo could be taken at some point during the event. The Ohio Housing Conference only uses these photos for purposes such as publicity, illustration and advertising of the event in print and electronic content.

 

 

Q. What is there to do in Columbus?
