Welcome
Come and join us!
APAGBI Council and the Local Organising Team look forward to welcoming you all to London for our 2023 Annual Scientific Meeting. This will be a particularly special 50th Anniversary ASM for the APAGBI. We invite you to come and be a key part of our celebrations.
We have an impressive central London venue in the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms and an exciting academic programme. The meeting will be held in partnership with SPANZA and we look forward to hosting our colleagues from Australia and New Zealand and enjoying a great shared learning opportunity.
Our Local Organising Committee is drawn from hospitals across London who provide anaesthetic care for children. We hope we can showcase some innovative neonatal and cardiac work, along with topics such as paediatric trauma and managing peri-operative anxiety. The workshops will include TIVA and management of the difficult airway- of interest to all practitioners.
The Wednesday prior to the meeting will focus on the developing area of peri-operative medicine in children.
Welcome drinks will be held in a classic London pub the night before the conference and join us for a spectacular 50th Anniversary Gala Dinner at the Freemasons’ Hall (right next to the conference venue).
We look forward to seeing you there.
