The Whitewater Center is comprised of more than 1,300 acres and 50 miles of trail along the banks of the Catawba River. The Whitewater Center is designed and operated as an outdoor center offering a variety of recreational activities. Every element and activity is focused on supporting an all-encompassing experience around the outdoor lifestyle.

For our L1 Basecamp, in addition to an all access pass to the Whitewater Center, you may choose from one of the following activities.

  • Whitewater rafting: Raft on the world’s largest manmade whitewater river. Experience class II-IV whitewater with a professional guide for this 90-minute activity. You will get wet so it is recommended to wear clothes you are okay getting wet. Secured footwear is also required (Water shoes, sneakers or sandals with backstrap are permitted footwear).
  • Zipline: Fly over rapids and through the forest at the Whitewater Center via zipline. The zipline course requires closed toe shoes like sneakers and shorts or pants with a comfortable shirt.
  • Yoga: Enjoy a Private Yoga class indoors at the Whitewater Center.

There will be time to change before and after each activity. In addition to clothes for the activity, if you are whitewater rafting, you will also want to change following the activity as you will get wet on the river.
