Overview

Stroke Treatment Alliance of Rochester, New York, a University of Rochester Medical Center led community-wide initiative was formed to decrease the physical, psychosocial and economic burden of stroke in our community and to create a model program that can be replicated for other disease processes and in other communities.

Learning Objectives

After participating in this course, practitioners will be able to:

  • Identify the effects of COVID on Stroke Care in Prehospital, Academic and Rural Emergency Room settings
  • Describe how to avoid the ER in TIA care
  • Recognize the impact of COVID on Post Stroke Inpatient Care
  • Describe the benefits of Telehealth in Stroke Care during the pandemic
  • Identify and optimize appropriate patients for Neuro ICU transfer
