The University of Rochester Medical Center Department of NeuroMedicine Crtiical Care has coordinated an ENLS Certification Course to be offered in conjuction with the STAR-NY Symposium.

Course Description

A comprehensive educational program designed to help healthcare professionals improve patient care and outcomes during the first hours of a patients neurological emergency:

  • Review the early critical management of 13 key neurologic emergencies, including eschemic stroke, intracranial hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, traumatic brain injury, intracranial hypertension and herniation.
  • Emergency Neurological Life Support (ENLS) demonstrates a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach and and provides a consistent set of protocols, practical checklists, decision points, and suggested communication to use during critical patient management.
  • Achieve ENLS certification after demonstrating mastery of the patient care protocols
  • Approved for continuing education credits for physicians, nurses, and other professionals.

ENLS Overview

  • Resuscitation Following Cardiac Arrest
  • Meningitis/Encephalitis

Certification

This course is certified by Cine-Med.

Completion of this course and online assessment provides 15 hours of Level 1 CME credit (for Attending Physicians, RN/PA/NP/Pharmacists) and a two-year ENLS Certification.
