2022 Funding Assistance

Hi-Point Firearms First-Time Attendee Assistance Program

Hi-Point Firearms will continue to cover the costs of meeting registration fees for 5 first-time attendees to the AFTE Training Seminar. In order to take advantage of this offer, you must be a first time attendee and you must fall into any one of the following three categories:

• You are an AFTE member in good standing, or
• The membership secretary must be in receipt of your application, or
• You are someone working in the field of Firearm Identification who would like to know more about our association.

Your supervisor or co-worker (preferably an AFTE member) must write a letter on your behalf stating that you will be attending the meeting and that your employer will not pay 100% of the cost. The letter should also state what, if anything, your agency will pay for.

Please be aware that this donation only covers Registration Fees. Attendees selected are still responsible for food, travel, and lodging and any workshops that they might like to attend.

You will be notified, via email, if your registration fees are paid.

The cut-off date for submitting your letter for consideration for the First-Time Attendee registration waiver is March 30, 2022! Your letter must be received by to this date to be considered.

Mohammad AlShamsi’s First-Time Attendee Program

In order to bridge experiences from the Middle-East and West-Asia with the West more effectively, the Mohammad AlShamsi program starting from 2020 will cover the costs of meeting registration fees for 1 first-time attendee to the AFTE Training Seminar from the Middle-East and West-Asia region. In order to take advantage of this offer, you must meet the following criteria:

• You are an AFTE Provisional member in good standing.
• You have not previously attended the AFTE Training Seminar.
• You are an active firearm and/or toolmark examiner or trainee in the Middle-East and West-Asia region.

Please be aware that this program only covers Registration Fees. Attendees selected are still responsible for food, travel, and lodging and any workshops that they might like to attend.

If you would like to be considered and meet the above criteria, please send an email with the following Subject (Mohammad AlShamsi’s First-Time Attendee Program) to reg.afte2022@gmail.com that include the nominees following details: (Name of nominee, AFTE member number, nominee’s email, Country, Name of Agency, and Head of Firearm and/or Toolmark in relevant agency name and contact details “number and email”).

You will be notified, via email, if your registration fees are paid. The cut-off date for sending your emails for the First-Time Attendee registration waiver is June 25, 2022! Your email must be received by to this date to be considered.
