KCACTF Region 1

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Why can't I log into the Virtual Lobby?

    • Make sure that there is no space or extra characters after your email address or last name. If you are still having trouble, please email kcactfregion1.reg@gmail. com. It's possible that there is a typo in the system and we can usually fix that very quickly!

  • I've never used Zoom, how do I join workshops?

    • We recommend you DOWNLOAD ZOOM rather than use the "join from browser" option. This will ensure that you have the most robust features available. Visit https://zoom.us/download to download it, or the app store for iOs or Google Play.

    • If you already have ZOOM, please be sure to UPDATE to the most recent version. To do this, open Zoom and click on your account settings (this may be a thumbnail of your profile picture, if you uploaded one) and select “Check for Updates.”

  • I can't attend a workshop during it's scheduled time. Will I be able to watch it after the fact?

    • We are working to record as many workshops as possible, and will make them available in the Virtual Lobby as soon as we can. We intend to leave the Virtual Lobby open for registered users for a period of time after the Festival concludes, and we hope that will give you time to catch sessions that you could not attend live.

  • I can't view an Invited Performance during it's scheduled time. Will I be able to watch it after the fact?

    • After their initial scheduled screening, several of our Invited Productions will be available for asynchronous viewing. Please visit the "Invited Productions" tab on the Virtual Lobby Navigation Bar for more information.

  • My family and friends are not registered for the Festival, but they want to see my Irene Ryan performance, exhibit or one of the Invited Productions.

    • Due to privacy and session management concerns, the Festival is not open to the general public. We encourage you to share your recorded work outside of the Festival platform. For Invited Shows, you should  speak with the producer of the show to see if sharing is permitted.

  • I am concerned about some of the material presented in a workshop I attended. Who can I speak to about this?

    • We encourage all Festival attendees to submit feedback forms that are available within the Virtual Lobby Navigation Bar, both for Workshops and for Invited Productions. Members of our RED (Representation, Equity and Diversity) team will facilitate feedback and help arrange for any follow up.
