Q: What is IFMA’s vaccination policy for Presidents Conference attendees?
A: IFMA is committed to a safe experience for its attendees. We are asking all attendees to be either vaccinated against COVID-19 OR have a negative COVID-19 test result within 72 hours of travel.
Q: Will IFMA have a masking policy for the conference?
A: IFMA is following CDC, state, and local guidelines and will continuously monitor the situation. As of today, there is no mandate for wearing masks in Arizona. However, IFMA is strongly encouraging the wearing of masks while inside the hotel. IFMA will have masks available for anyone who wants/needs them.
Q: What precautions are being taken to ensure attendee health during indoor conference sessions?
A: The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa HVAC filtration system has been upgraded and sanitized. It is designed to bring in outside air and move up to 30,000 CFM of airflow through meeting room spaces and common areas to ensure Co2 levels are properly monitored. IFMA will also make socially distanced seating areas available to attendees during general session and breakout sessions.
Q: Will I have access to sanitation stations during the conference?
A: Yes, IFMA is making hand sanitizing stations available to attendees in common areas.
Q: What if I don’t feel well or have been exposed to someone who has COVID? Can I still attend Presidents Conference?
A: No, we ask that you stay home for the health and safety of our attendees unless you are able to present a negative COVID test prior to traveling.
Q: If I test positive for COVID prior to travel, can I get a refund for the conference?
A: IFMA’s cancellation policy, as approved by our Board of Directors, states that all registration fees are final and non-refundable. However, we would be happy to provide credit towards the virtual Presidents Conference or a future event.
Q: What if I exhibit symptoms at the conference? What should I do?
A: IFMA will provide a list of nearby COVID-19 testing centers as the conference approaches. We ask that you quarantine and do not interact with other guests until you receive a negative test result. If the test is positive, please contact an IFMA staff member (ifma@ifmaworld.com) and let them know.
