Accreditation

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint providership of the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and Pennsylvania Psychiatric Society. The APA is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The APA designates this live activity for a maximum of 6.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity."

Act 124 of 2016 requires that all prescribers or dispensers applying for licensure/certification complete at least 4 hours of Board-approved education consisting of 2 hours in pain management or the identification of addiction and 2 hours in the practices of prescribing or dispensing of opioids. Individuals renewing their medical license must complete at least two hours of continuing education in pain management, the identification of addiction or the practices of prescribing or dispensing of opioids. The contents of this program satisfy these requirements. Attendees must self-disclosure their completion of these requirements at time of initial license application/license renewal.
