Join us for the 2021 Crowe Public Sector Series. On day one, hear from our keynote speaker, Kimberly Ellison-Taylor who will inspire you to “Rise Up” as she shares the challenges she faced as she navigated throughout her career in the accounting industry and how she achieved her goals. We’ll cover the current state of not-for-profit, higher education and governmental organizations and their future in a post COVID world. There will be a discussion on the latest cybersecurity trends and managing the complexities of grants including some likely steps to modernize grants and the possible development of additional reporting requirements. Join us for breakouts on April 21 and 22 as we cover GASB and FASB topics.

Solving the Fiduciary Identity Crisis – GASB 84 Implementation and Other Updates
During this session, participants will learn about GASB 84 as well as other related GASB standards. The session will highlight GASB 84 and include discussion and examples regarding implementation.

What You Need to Know About Recent and Upcoming New FASB Standards
During this session, particapants will learn about upcoming FASB standards. The session will highlight ASU 2016-02, Leases and ASU 2020-07, Gifts in Kind as well as a review regarding Topic 606, Revenue Recognition. The session will provide examples regarding implementation.

A New Lease on Life – Prepping for GASB 87
During this session, participants will learn about GASB 87 and how to prepare for this implementation of this new lease standard. It will also include many example of implemention surrounding this new standard.

Implications of a COVID Environment
This session will discuss implications arising from COVID including FASB and GASB items and financial reporting, auditing issues and challenges and federal compliance items.
