  • Learn the state of evidence about the association between nature/greenspace and mental health.

  • Become familiar with evidence of the benefits of local (Philadelphia) nature-based interventions on mental health.

  • Explore the equity concerns regarding access to urban nature, for mental health benefits.

  • Define some sociopolitical factors that can increase human vulnerability to climate change.

  • Describe how the interactions between climate change and systemic oppression can impact mental health.

  •  Identify our role in potential solutions to the challenges that underserved and/or oppressed communities face when confronting climate change.

  • Define transformational resilience as a theoretical framework to address the impact of climate change on mental health.

  • Describe our role in community empowerment and sustainability projects that support disaster response efforts.
