NCOA’s Trailblazers in Aging Awards recognize individuals and organizations around the country who are working toward a just and caring society that allows all of us to age with dignity, purpose, and security.

2021 Award Categories
Innovator: This award recognizes an individual or organization who has created innovative solutions to improve the health and economic security of older adults in the community. This award includes a $1,000 cash tribute thanks, in part, to a generous donation from a member of the family of Jack Ossofsky, a former NCOA president who launched numerous successful programs and promoted the true promises of an aging society.
Change Agent: This award recognizes an individual or organization working to ensure that every person—regardless of gender, color, sexuality, income, or zip code—has the resources to age well.
NISC Founder: This award recognizes outstanding professional leadership in the senior center field, presented by NCOA's National Institute of Senior Centers (NISC).
