Trailblazers in Aging Awards

NCOA’s Trailblazers in Aging Awards recognize individuals and organizations around the country who are working toward a just and caring society that allows all of us to age with dignity, purpose, and security.

Let’s recognize the best and brightest in the field of aging!

Nominations are now closed. Honorees will be announced in June.

2021 Award Categories

Innovator: This award recognizes an individual or organization who has created innovative solutions to improve the health and economic security of older adults in the community. This award includes a $1,000 cash tribute thanks, in part, to a generous donation from a member of the family of Jack Ossofsky, a former NCOA president who launched numerous successful programs and promoted the true promises of an aging society.

Change Agent: This award recognizes an individual or organization working to ensure that every person—regardless of gender, color, sexuality, income, or zip code—has the resources to age well.

NISC Founder: This award recognizes outstanding professional leadership in the senior center field, presented by NCOA's National Institute of Senior Centers (NISC).
