What will the Age+Action Virtual Conference look like?
Age+Action will include more than 150 presentations that will take place June 7-10, 2021. All conference plenaries will be broadcast live, along with select concurrent educational sessions. Through the virtual event platform, you will be able to connect with colleagues from across the country, participate in workshops and plenaries, and visit the Virtual Expo Hall. All sessions also will be available to registrants on demand, along with all conference materials, so you can enjoy them at a time that works best for you. We will post an updated agenda online in March.
What will the Age+Action platform look like?
The virtual event platform allows attendees to interact and network not only with each other, but also with presenters, sponsors, and exhibitors. It gives attendees the ability to select sessions and add them to a personalized agenda, watch presentations while simultaneously navigating to different parts of the site, and even meet one-on-one with peers and presenters. Registered attendees will be given access to the platform prior to the start of the conference to familiarize themselves with the site and complete their profile. Throughout the conference, attendees will receive notifications with suggestions of sessions to attend, people to network with, and reminders to visit the Expo Hall. Our goal is to give attendees the ability to engage virtually for a shared unique experience!
Sign up to join us at www.AgeAction.org. You will receive an email closer to the conference date to access the platform. The entire conference experience will be available from the comfort of your home or office.

I am an Administration for Community Living Chronic Disease Self-Management Education or Falls Prevention grantee. Does the virtual conference meet the requirement for attending a grantee meeting? What do we do with leftover funding?

Funding allocated for travel and hotel accommodations can be used to support other grant needs or to register additional participants for the virtual conference.
When will I receive the instructions for attending the virtual conference?
The Age+Action team will send you the necessary instructions several weeks before the event. Make sure that the email address associated with your registration is accurate, so there is no delay in receiving our communications.
Can my computer or mobile device handle the virtual conference?
Most up-to-date computers and mobile devices such as laptops, desktops, and tablets are capable of running the virtual conference. Once the conference homepage is available, you will be able to perform a System Checker that will analyze your internet browser, internet connection, and network settings to ensure they are optimized for your viewing experience. If there is a warning issued by this System Checker, simply click the Get Help button or call the support number provided, so we can get you ready for the virtual event.
We are still working on the schedule, and we will post an updated agenda in March. All live sessions will be held on June 7-10, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. ET. Sessions also will be recorded and available for viewing later. Be sure to check www.AgeAction.orgfor titles of sessions and speakers, as presentations may change.
What if I am unable to participate in the live sessions?
If you are unable to tune in for the live broadcast, registered participants can access the recordings by logging into the Age+Action virtual platform through June 30, 2021. All sessions will be posted the day after the live session takes place. The process will be similar to logins for live programs, but you will be able to view the presentations at your convenience. You also can access the Virtual Expo Hall at any time convenient for you.
What do I need to do on the day of the virtual event?
On the morning of the event, you will receive a reminder with a link that will automatically log you into your account and allow you to access the conference homepage. The system will allow you to enter each live session 15-20 minutes before it starts. After each session, the session will close, and you will be asked to rate it using the mobile app. Repeat this process for each session you wish to attend. After the event, you will receive an email with instructions to complete the conference evaluation.
Will I be able to see the presenters for each session?
Yes. You will be able to see all general session, plenary, and educational session speakers along with their presentations.
Can I share my virtual conference login information with other members of my team?
For every paid registration to attend virtually, only one device (computer, laptop, tablet, or phone) will be allowed to enter the virtual conference. The questions asked and the polling conducted within that single login session are all tied to the account of the individual who registered for the conference.
Can I access and view recordings of any sessions from the conference?
Your virtual conference registration includes access to all session recordings after the conference concludes. You can view any sessions you missed as soon as the recordings are made available.
An Age+Action team member will contact you with instructions. If you are unable to present live, you will be given instructions for recording your presentation in advance. If you have questions regarding presenting at the conference, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
