Ten Thousand Villages Overland Park is a fair trade retailer that creates opportunities for artisan partners in over 40 countries to earn income by bringing their handmade products and stories to the Kansas City area market through long-term fair trading relationships. Ten Thousand Villages Overland Park is a locally operated, 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation committed to putting people and the planet first. Following years of education and fundraising by a small group of passionate volunteers, Ten Thousand Villages Overland Park opened to the public June 20th, 2000 in Historic Downtown Overland Park, Kansas. Twenty years later, many of those founding volunteers are still working to support the mission, helping make this exceptional store what it is today.
