The World Customs Organization (WCO) and the Federal Administration of Public Revenues (Administración Federal de Ingresos Públicos - AFIP) of Argentina are delighted to announce that the 2013 WCO Technology & Innovation Forum will take place in Buenos Aires, Argentina from 11 to 15 November 2013.

The WCO is keen to build on the success of the previous three Forums in Brussels, Cairo and Kuala Lumpur. Last year the TI Forum attracted almost 350 delegates from 63 countries (see the Attendance Report here). An innovative agenda structure will offer different possibilities to engage in extensive expert debates, review the best practices and offer peer-to-peer learning as well partnership opportunities for industry. These methods have been expanded and further developed based on feedback received from the previous Forums.

Participant Profile

The 2013 WCO Technology & Innovation Forum will bring together the representatives of the border and enforcement agencies, Directors General, Heads of Procurement, Senior Operational Officers and field experts from Customs Authorities, technology sector, international organizations and others involved in the international trade arena. It is anticipated that approximately 350 international delegates will attend the Buenos Aires Forum to learn about the latest inspection technology advances, network and engage in problem solving in consultation with their colleagues and industry partners.
