Join Marrakech Marathon

Under High Patronnage of His Majesty the King Mohammed VI, the International Marathon of Marrakech announces its

31st Edition on January 26, 2020

More than 9000 runners from all over the world will take part in one of the most prestigious Marathons in the world.

The magical town of Marrakech offers an exceptional setting, a very mild climate in January, and a beautiful course, which is considered as one of the fastest in the world. You will run along the alleys of palm, orange, and olive-trees, and also the ramparts (ramparts are walls are over 30 feet high, 6 feet thick and are about 12 miles in length. They once provided protection for the inhabitants of the city and up until the early 20th century, the gates were all securely closed at night.) of the city.

Journey Trace

A 26.2 mile run for the marathon and 13.1 mile run for the semi marathon, both approved by the I.A.A.F-A.I.M.S. The course is flat and fast, in spite of some ascending false flats in the palm grove.

On the course

The water/aid stations are located every 3.1 miles (water and orange sections).
