1. When and where will the 2015 California STEM Symposium be held?
The 2015 California STEM Symposium will held October 29 and 30 at the Anaheim Convention Center. Registration will be open on the 28th.
2. What’s the STEM Symposium all about?
The Californians Dedicated to Education Foundation, in cooperation with State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson and the Commission on the Status of Women and Girls, is proud to bring you the 3rd Annual California STEM Symposium on October 29 and 30, 2015 at the Anaheim Convention Center.
This Symposium will bring together thousands of teachers, administrators, students, higher education representatives, program providers, philanthropic representatives and industry representatives to engage them in STEM education by providing strategies and resources for program implementation. The Symposium will have a special focus on increasing and supporting the participation of women and girls—as well as other underrepresented groups—in STEM fields. It will also highlight leaders in classroom innovation from across the state and attract student teams to showcase critical thinking, problem solving, and teamwork.
3. How much are registration fees for the 2015 STEM Symposium?
Early Bird rate is $280 (for those booked by April 30, 2015)
Regular Registration rate is $300 (May 1- September 18)
Late registration rate is $375 (based on availability September 18 – onsite)
4. What is included in Symposium registration fees?
o Continental breakfast and lunch for 2 days, as well as a networking reception
o Daily General Session Keynotes
o Breakout sessions/presentations
o Access to the exhibitor hall

6. How do I apply to be a presenter?

The round table submission deadline has passed, we look forward to your application next year.
8. I am a conference presenter. Do I need to register and pay?
One discounted registration will be given to the Primary Presenter at a cost of $150. Additional presenters must register at our current conference rate.
9. Can I register and pay for multiple staff from my school?
Yes, group registration is available on step #3 of registration process. Attendees will be able to go back in and modify their individual registrations by clicking "modify registration" button and entering their email and confirmation number.
10. How do I register and pay for the conference?

o If you are paying by check please print your online registration confirmation out and mail it with your check to: (all checks MUST be received by September 15th for a valid registration)

o Purchase Orders- We do not accept purchase orders as a method of payment. However, if necessary a purchase order can be used to hold registration spaces. Registration will NOT be confirmed until payment is received. Payment will need to be made by October 1, 2015 to avoid cancellation and paying the higher registration rate.
11. Will meals be provided?
Yes continental breakfast, lunch and cocktail reception will be provided and are included as part of the registration rate.
12. How will I get my Symposium badge and other materials?
Symposium badges and other materials will be provided during on site registration. Early Check in will be available on October 28, 2015 from 4:00p.m.- 7:00 p.m. at the Anaheim Convention Center.
