Please join Horizon Therapeutics for an interactive lunch program navigating clinical ambiguity of care for patients with Inborn Errors of Metabolism (IEMs) with uncertain disease outcomes. The program will be led by Dr Neena Champaigne from Medical University of South Carolina, Brittany Holmes from Boston Children's Hospital, and Mary Sowa from Children's Health of Orange County. The educational objectives of this program are to:
  • Explore real-world approaches to navigating clinical uncertainty in IEM patient care, including treatment and monitoring considerations
  • Increase awareness of the needs of patients with mild IEM presentations and the nuances of their care
  • Reinforce the importance of the multidisciplinary genetics team and inter-clinic collaboration to optimize patient care as the understanding of IEMs continues to grow and evolve
