Ann Hinkins, CPA | EKS&H LLLP
 
Ann is a partner with EKS&H, the largest Colorado-based CPA and advisory services firm.  She leads the firm's nonprofit group and has been involved in public accounting since 1982.  She provides audit and business advisory services to organizations including health and welfare, foundations, religious, education, cultural, healthcare, fundraising, and trade associations.







Scott Middleton, CFA, CIMA® | Innovest Portfolio Solutions, LLC

Scott is a Principal, Senior Consultant and Innovest Director.  Scott is the Director of Innovest's Investment Committee, which oversees the firm's investment research and due diligence process.  He is also a member of the Capital Markets Research Group which assesses the economic and market outlook and oversees clients' asset allocation studies and portfolio construction.  He has more than 25 years of experience in investment management, focusing on customized portfolio management and consulting for institutional clients.  His clients include many charitable trusts and non-profit organizations.







 
Ryan SellsEKS&H LLLP
 
Ryan has more than 20 years of public accounting experience and leads the Healthcare practice for the firm. He serves a variety of healthcare providers, including hospitals, physician groups, nursing homes, and in-home care agencies. He also works with various nonprofit organizations. Ryan specializes in financial audits and reviews, OMB A-133/HUD audits, board governance and education, internal controls assessments, and financial performance reviews.







Dori Eggett

Dori is a tax director with EKS&H. She has been involved in public accounting since 1987. Her professional background includes extensive experience with tax planning and compliance for nonprofit organizations, as well as individuals, closely held business entities, partnerships, and trusts.







Paul T. Penley, PhD |  Director of Research, Excellence in Giving

Dr. Penley evaluates the health and performance of charities for Excellence in Giving clients donating $20 million annually. He has refined methods for nonprofit due diligence and tracking post-grant impact. He has completed on-site evaluations in a dozen countries around the world. Dr. Penley specializes in creating and evaluating outcome measurement systems for internal and external reporting of program effectiveness. He has presented his methods at community foundations, the Philanthropy Roundtable, and the Yale Philanthropy Conference. He has published research insights in Alliance magazine, Planned Giving Today, and OUTCOMES magazine. He created the most up-to-date, comprehensive yet concise online charity evaluation platform at www.IntelligentPhilanthropy.com. Dr. Penley’s ability to identify indicators of mission failure or success allows those he advises to support high-performing charities making the difference they want to fund. 







Cindy Eby | Mile High United Way

Cindy is the Senior Director of Evaluation with Mile High United Way where she is responsible for supporting the organization’s strategic direction through evaluation and planning. Her work focuses on bringing evaluation methods and the use of data for decision making to foundations and non-profits. With over 17 years of experience in research, evaluation, and implementation of evidence-base programs, Cindy’s background includes leading the program quality for work for an internationally recognized evidence-based prevention program; senior researcher for national health services research; and program management and evaluation internationally. As part of her work with Mile High United Way she developed The Performance Collaborative, an evaluation and performance measurement capacity building initiative for non-profits, and the Mobilize Mile High indicator set, a community indicator set to identify community needs and more efficiently target resources.








Stuart Lark, Partner | Bryan Cave LLP

For more than 15 years, Stuart Lark has helped non-profit clients navigate complex matters related to their distinct operational and legal challenges.  Mr. Lark advises clients on legal structure, governance and personnel policies, joint ventures and affiliations, commercial activities, unrelated trade or business income tax, intellectual property, international structure, tax-exempt financing, private foundation rules, planned giving, and mergers and acquisitions.  He has obtained many favorable IRS rulings and property and sales tax exemption determinations.  In addition, Mr. Lark counsels many clients with respect to religious accommodations in the law.  He has helped clients secure religious tax exemptions, faith-based employee rights, government benefits, and religious worker visas.








Richard Todd

Richard M. Todd is the co-founder and CEO of Innovest Portfolio Solutions LLC. He is a member of Innovest’s Investment Committee, which makes decisions on investment related research and due diligence. He has more than 28 years of experience in investment consulting and currently provides consulting services to institutions and individuals. His clients include foundations and endowments, corporate and public funds, corporate and public-sector retirement plans, and wealthy families. In addition to client consulting, Rich is responsible for business development. Rich was recently named as one of America’s top 100 independent investment advisors by Barron’s.







Bob Tinglestad | EKS&H LLLP

Bob has nearly twenty years of experience as an IT professional and entrepreneur who has worked in Big Four management consulting, in software product companies, and directly for corporations. His experiences provide a clear understanding of how software product companies work, what it takes to implement business solutions, and what it takes to support them. Bob is an expert in BI needs analysis, data integration, and BI tool implementations. With a wide variety of IT experience, he has focused the majority of his career in the Business Intelligence space, building a successful BI Program from the ground up, and now a successful consulting organization.







Mike Pritchard | Goodwill Industries of Denver

Mike Pritchard has over 14 years of developmental and financial services experience. He leads the Finance and IT departments at Goodwill. Mike comes to Goodwill from Family Tree and has held previous positions with Mile High United Way and Habitat for Humanity. Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He was also previously a Certified Public Accountant with Deloitte & Touche and received the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants “CPA’s Making a Difference” award in 2002. Mike looks forward to educating the community on how their support can help Goodwill empower thousands of youth through education and training for a future career and he’s passionate about Goodwill’s mission to create opportunities for individuals to change their lives and the lives of others while building a strong and sustainable community.
