Cascais é uma vila portuguesa no Distrito de Lisboa, região de Lisboa e sub-região da Grande Lisboa, com cerca de 35 400 habitantes. Situa-se a cerca de 30 minutos de Lisboa, junto à orla marítima. É a quinta vila mais populosa de Portugal. Cascais tem-se recusado ser elevada a categoria honorífica de cidade, por motivos turísticos.

Cascais é sede de um município com 97,4 km² de área e 206 429 habitantes (2011), subdividido em 4 freguesias, em 2013, depois de uma reforma administrativa nacional. O município é limitado a norte pelo município de Sintra e a leste por Oeiras e a sul e a oeste tem costa no Oceano Atlântico, na famosa Costa do Estoril.

Cascais is a coastal town in Cascais Municipality in Portugal, 30 kilometres (19 miles) west of Lisbon, with about 35,000 residents. It is a cosmopolitan suburb of the Portuguese capital and one of the richest municipalities in Portugal. The former fishing village gained fame as a resort for Portugal's royal family in the late 19th century and early 20th century. Nowadays, it is a popular vacation spot for both Portuguese and foreign tourists. It is located in the Estoril Coast (named after Estoril, a civil parish), in the Greater Lisbon subregion.
