Philanthropy Summit 2019
 

Important Summit information

We look forward to see you at the Philanthropy Summit in Wellington. Here is some important information that might help you with your planning
 

 
REGISTRATION
 
The Philanthropy Summit 2019 Registration Desk will be located in the Oceania Room, level 3 of Te Papa and will operate during the times listed below:
  • Wednesday 15 May - 9.00am – 4.00pm
  • Thursday 16 May - 7.30am – 4.30pm
  • Friday 17 May - 7.30am – 3.30pm 

On arrival at the Summit, please report to the registration desk.  

You must wear your name badge at all times while in the conference venue. Te Papa is a public space and access to any Summit sessions and spaces will only be granted to delegates wearing a Summit lanyard. 
 
 
VENUE INFORMATION

Food and drink is also not allowed in the Museum. Summit catering can only be consumed in Oceania. 
 

Te Papa Museum is a non-smoking environment. Smoking is only permitted outside the confines of the building and away from the main entrance doors. All types of electronic smoking devices are also not permitted inside the museum building 

 
PŌWHIRI
 
If you have signed up to join the Pōwhiri on Wednesday 15 May, please make sure you meet in Oceania, Level 3, Te Papa by 3.45pm. You will then be moved as a group to the Marae for the Pōwhiri. Please note, late arrivals to the Marae will not be able to join the Pōwhiri.

SUMMIT APP
 
You will receive an invitation via email in the coming days to the Summit app. This gives you access to set up and check your personal profile, view the programme, see session information and speaker bios, get the latest updates and view your own personalised schedule of the sessions you have registered to attend.

For help on downloading the app and navigating the functionality, please come and see the friendly staff at the registration desk in Oceania.
 
Note, if you still have this app on your phone from the 2017 Summit, please uninstall and reinstall the latest version of this app. You may also have an existing profile set up from 2017. Please make sure you select the Philanthropy Summit 2019 event.
 

COFFEE 

AMP Capital are providing complimentary barista coffee for all Summit participants. Their baristas will be serving up your favourite caffeinated beverage throughout the Summit. 
 
No takeaway coffees can be taken from the café or from Oceania space after 10am once the museum is open to the public. Coffee needs to be consumed within the event spaces only. 
 

DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

 

If you have pre-requested special dietary requirements, please know that all food on the buffets are individually labelled with what the item is and what diets it caters for.  All vegetarians will be catered for on the regular buffet.

  
If you have a very specific pre-ordered dietary requirements or do not know what you can eat on the main buffets, please visit a member of the Te Papa team at the special diets buffet - they can assist you. Please note that only guests with pre-ordered dietary requirements have been catered for.
 
 

TAXI SPECIALS

Wellington Combined Taxis have a special offer for all Philanthropy Summit travellers! Summit attendees travelling between the CBD and the airport will receive a special rate of $36 between the 14th - 17th May.  All bookings must be made via (04) 384 4444 or by emailing wctplanner@taxis.co.nz. Quote PIN code 48803 for this discount.

 
CAR PARKING 

Te Papa offers a special day function attendees rate of $12.00 from 6am to 6pm and a special evening rate of $6.00 from 6pm to 2am the next day. The maximum charge on a 24-hour period is $18.00. A car parking validator machine is available inside the hired venue. 
 
Please bring your parking ticket from the barrier arm to the validator and pass it through the machine, then you will need to go to a pay station on departure and the special function attendees rate will apply.
 
There are five mobility parking spaces available on site – two spaces at uncovered and three spaces at covered parking lot close to the ground floor entrance.

Addtional parking can also be found on Barnett Street.
 
 
LUGGAGE STORAGE
We will have luggage storage available for those who require this during the Summit. Luggage storage will be located in Oceania.
