2020 Pediatric Virtual Live Symposium
 
  Learning Objectives  
  At the conclusion of the virtual symposium, the participants should be able to:
 
  • Manage patients identified to have trauma utilizing the appropriate tools and referral processes.
  • Identify risk factors for violent injury and death in children and teens and provide anticipatory guidance on prevention.
  • Address the current screening questions of weapons in the home in a manner that is objective, unprovocative, and effective in reducing the child's risk of harm and/or death.
  • Identify health consequences of racism and provide anticipatory safety guidance.
  • Advocate for changes to the appearance of pediatric offices to promote anti-racism and encourage trust and inclusion.
