EXPLORING VIEWPOINTS - For many of us, NAEYC and NAFCC Accreditation is a sure road to quality and has many undeniable advantages to child care homes and centers. The process of NAEYC and NAFCC Accreditation allows a good program to become great and brings unexpected benefits to children, families, and staff in early care and education programs. In spite of what we may believe about its advantages, program providers, both home and center-based, often express reluctance to engage in the quality improvement process. Join this forum to share your perspective on the topic of program improvement through NAEYC and NAFCC Accreditation. Learn ways to encourage family and center providers to take the plunge, discover innovative ideas for supporting programs through the process, and learn about incentives that work COST: FREE MEALS: Continental Breakfast with coffee and tea will be sponsored by QS2 Training and Consulting FACILITATORS: Stephanie Dockweiler, Mary Louise Musler, & Diana Webb CLICK HERE to visit the Professional Development Provider Pre-Conference Information Webpage.

ECERS-R and ITERS-R are widely utilized assessment quality instruments. ECERS-R is used as an instrument to assess quality in classrooms for children 2.5 – 5 years old. ITERS-R defines its use for children that are infants up to 11 months and toddlers from 12 to 30 months. Another way to use these instruments is as a guide for development and supervision of classrooms. Using the indicators in each of the items is a way to clearly specify what is the expectation of what materials should be in the room and what should be occurring in that classroom. The tool can be a guide to assist teaching staff to meet the developmental needs of all their children. Cost: ECERS-R - 9:30am-12:30pm
ITERS-R - 2:00pm-5:00pm
Lunch Option Lunch will be avaliable for all registered attendees. A Supreme Salad Bar inclusive of mixed greens, various vegetables, dressings, tortellini pasta salad, tuna, chicken and egg salad, sliced, fresh fruit and two dessert options, and so much more will be provided. Cost:
